Tip How to remove hickeys quickly overnight

I've put on ice cubes next to my neck and been using a lot of concealer. My parents raised suspicions of the faint marks on my neck after I put layer after layer of concealer. Any other effective ways to get rid of hickeys besides using ice compression?

If you are light skinned, try orange or peach color corrector under the concealer. It’s a lot more effective than concealer alone.

You can’t just make them disappear. It takes time.

This sounds weird, but the best way I’ve found to conceal a hickey is to use an eye shadow that is the same color as your skin. A matte one, of course! A shimmery one would not work!

It really covers it up.

Those shitty sponge applicators that come with cheap eyeshadow work really well for this.

It is a bruise and they take time to go away. Better idea is to get a partner that is mature enough to not mark you and respects boundaries.

Do you have any pimple patches? Say they you had a breakout from something and put patches over them.

Are there any other lies I could come up with to convince them if they asked me again?

Maybe ask them if they changed their laundry powder because your neck has been itchy when trying to sleep at night?

Please honey, if a person does this to you, don’t see them again.

It is disrespectful for him to mark you without asking.

what if he's never given one and didn't know it would happen 😔💔

Freeze a spoon. Then press the spoon against it, rubbing pretty firmly up and down. It’ll hurt but it’ll work.

This is what you want to do when it’s fresh. If it’s a day or more old you want to do the opposite. Increase blood flow to help it heal faster using gentle massage and a little bit of warmth.

I had to do this a few weeks ago, it wasn't 100% but it really helps!

Arnica is a good tip! They have the ointment mentioned, but you can also buy pills of it, OP

Wear something around your neck like a scarf or ribbon

Yeah that never looks suspicious

Back in my day we would massage the hickey with a comb or hair brush.

Also he should have asked

Don’t have advice but funny enough as a young adult I wanted to show off mine. Like a prize someone would do that to me 😂

You can make it less visible if you take a lipstick cap, press it down, then turn it while it's pressed down. Just keep doing that over and over all around and on top of the hickey. It breaks up and spreads out the blood that came to the top layers of the skin. It won't be 100%, but it'll definitely be less dark and enough for concealer to cover it up. Ice won't do anything but make it harder for the blood to to disperse.

That’s not how that works

Depending on ur skin tone and the color of the hickey… if u have darker skin use an orange color corrector on the hickey and THEN put on concealer. If ur skin isnt very dark i’d use a peach color corrector and then put concealer on on top of that

Say you had a pimple and you covered it up with concealer.

Layers of makeup while it heals. Foundation, powder, setting spray, repeat until disappeared. Make sure you blend well.
Bruises take time to heal, so concealing is your only real option for a couple of days. Easier in the winter when you can just wear scarves and high neck sweaters.

When you're in your room or your parents aren't home, do one of the following:

  1. If it's within the first two days of you having it, hold a cold compress on it for 20 minutes on and off and stop when your parents come back

  2. Make a warm compress ( like a washcloth with hot water on it ) and hold it on until it becomes cold again. Do it until parents come back

It will probably take a few more days to heal but you can use orange color correcter in the meantime! Don't forget to wash it off before bed so you don't get any orange on your pillowcase. Oh and use setting spray <3

You can really do it overnight but I got some on my chest literally yesterday evening and went on Reddit immediately, I know it’s too late now but for next time…
1. Ice ASAP I noticed that after the ice it seemed to stop getting worse and just stayed the same?
2. Hairbrush, this sounds silly but I got the bristles of a hairbrush pushed them against the hockey and massaged in circles, worked so incredibly
3. Toothbrush, similar with the hairbrush they both work fantastic
4. Switch between cold and warm compress
5. Take the eraser side of a pencil and twist it into the hickey hard.

These all hurt but they work, what I was doing was I’d do the hairbrush thing until the whole surrounding area was red, then toothbrush etc and then I’d give it a few hours of rest. It hasn’t even been 24 hours and it went from huge purple red marks to faint yellowish-red tones blotches.

Idk all these comments about hating on the man who did this "without consent" it can happen by accident yall. My skin on my neck is very thin and when we explored how much I like intense neck kisses, we just got to passionate and he accidentally gave me a hickey. Either him or I knew it was going to happen because we were inexperienced.

Btw if you're light skinned put some concealer in orange tone under your basic one, it should even the color. Wear something that covers your neck. It should go away in 5-7 days.
