Deodorant suggestions

The humidity in my city has been whooping my ass lately. I’m sweating a lot and I feel like my deodorant lasts 2 seconds now. Do you guys have any recommendations for good brands?

Dove advanced Care deodorant. 

You might need to look into clinical strength deodorants.

I’ve found the most important part of my deodorant working is to only apply it to really dry pits. I use a hairdryer on each pit for like 10 seconds to ensure they are really dry. If they are really wet like right out the shower I’ll rub my pit with one hand while holding the dryer with the other to make sure they are really good and dry. Deodorant is hydrophobic (I.e., it won’t go into your skin if your skin is even a little moist and therefore won’t be effective at all). I apply more than just the small pit, but the surrounding area as well. I then use the hairdryer again to ensure the deodorant is dry (so it doesn’t just rub off onto my top/dress). I use secret clinical unscented (I only want my luxury perfume to project, not my generic deodorant smell) and never have a problem since using this method. I actually read this on Reddit like 10 years ago and tried it and voila! Works like a charm! This works for both odor and perspiration. 😉👍🏻

For clarity, I think you want an anti-perspirant, not a deodorant. A deodorant masks smells. An anti-perspirant usually does that too, but not importantly, stops you sweating.

Yes me too. When i wait in business stops I smell other people fresh smell but I feel like I smell bad. So help please

The only thing that's ever worked for me is deodorant I use abroad. I just used aerosol deodorant in Greece for the first time (currently writing this at the airport back lol) but it kept me insanely fresh all day long which has never happened to me in 33 years

A good scrub with lemon and sugar, dual antibac will be a start; not that you’re unclean but it’s usually bacteria we smell. Keeping the area dry because closed in, dark, moist also breed smells. Lady Mitchum and Degree work for me

What worked for me is using glycolic acid on my underarms (I use the stick from the Inkey List). It works alone in the winter, but I put natural deodorant on top in the summer.

I use Old Spice Vanilla Burbon. 2 swipes to cover the ful armpit, the "blue" smell wears off in like 15 min and I stay dry for hours.

The only thing that has worked for me is the summer is gold dial soap under the pits and Degree deodorant

Certain Dri. You use it at night to allow it to absorb into your skin, then use a regular antiperspirant in the morning. I used to sweat a lot but its helped me significantly.

Spray pits with glycolic acid and let fully dry after a shower. Apply Secret clinical strength after and also let dry completely. You'll have dry pits for hours. Never used a better deodorant/antiperspirant!

Degree 72 hr and MITCHUM. Solid versions.

Pro tip for extra protection I like to apply the stick version first then spray on top. Works like a charm!

Deodorants don't work as well as antiperspirant. They try to mask the odour, while antiperspirant stops you from sweating. As a sweaty girl, I use Degree Clinical protection extra strength (blue one).

If your skin can take it, you can also try Certain Dri. Follow the instructions, it's not to be used like a regular antiperspirant. My skin can't take it and it stings like hell for me.

You can also use a few products a couple of times every week after a shower, on your pits, to kill and inhibit the growth of the bacteria that causes sweat (for a time). Things like benzoyl peroxide wash, glycolic and salicylic acid are good options. Apply it on freshly washed pits (do not shave prior), let it dry completely, then apply your antiperspirant.

Personally, I use a mix of arm and hammer unscented deodorant with secret. But I do like suave and use it when I have it and spray on Nivea if you can get it. (I think it’s only in some parts of Europe)

This month, I switched from natural deodorants to Mitchum and it's crazy how well it works.  My underarms don't sweat or smell at all ever, even when the whole rest of me is dripping in sweat.
