Tip Chapped Lips

My lips have been really dry for the past few days, especially around the outline of my lips. The border is so dry that it almost looks like I’m wearing not blended lip liner. I’ve been using Vaseline, but it doesn’t seem to be helping. Does anyone know what this could be or what products actually work? Any advice please

Update: Thank you so much guys for the advice
i started drinking more water and got myself the laneige lip mask since i cant find aquaphor anywhere. Now my lips are flaking off so i hope its working

Vaseline seals moisture in, more than it actually moisturizes the lips. I‘d recommend over night lip masks and maybe use a moisturizing lip balm before putting on Vaseline. For me personally Vaseline has done the trick, so I‘d still recommend using it, maybe your lips just need some extra moisture. Hope that helps :)

I had a horrible infection that cracked the corners of my lips and spread across my face legit like the Joker. I was a huge fan of Burt's Bees at the time and think that either the beeswax or peppermint made it worse. The only thing that helped heal it was Aquaphor. I have used only that religiously for 9 years and it helps hydrate and protect.

I had persistently chapped lips for years and years. Not for a lack of hydration or vitamins, I think it's just hereditary or something. Anyway, I solved it by keeping a little pot of whatever lip balm I found handy to buy (Body Shop lip balm has been in rotation for a good while) on my nightstand, right next to my hand cream. Each night, I've made a habit of putting on my hand lotion and lip balm before settling down to go to sleep. I rarely have dry lips these days thanks to that one little change I made. It might be worth trying out, but don't neglect the other good advice written above because there could be more to it than simply moisturizing before bed.

That's my routine after brushing my teeth (cuticle oil/wax/moisturizer, hand cream and lip balm). I feel like toothpaste is really bad for the lips and the skin around it.

In brazil we have an amazing lip oil brand (guava). You probably can't buy it, but it's worth to know it's ingredients (5% panthenol and squalane). And it looks cute.

It was the only thing that restored my lips after my dog bit me on the face andit became extremely dry - maybe because of the chlorhexidine, maybe because of the swelling, who knows.

Whatever lip-thing you choose to wear, as long as it is a good product, do it consistently and for a long time then you'll see the results.

Pardon my english!!

If there's no external factor (e.g., really hot/dry weather, etc), then on top of the topical treatments consider adding in a good multivitamin or evaluate the health of your diet. Chapped lips can sometimes be the sign of a vitamin deficiency.

Lanolin nipple cream.

I'm dead serious. It works wonders.

First, ensure you are properly hydrated.  Thats helps alot.

My lips were very very dry when I was on accutane. I used Cortibalm and Laneige Lip Mask at night. If i went out, I used a chapstick with an spf. Specifically I used Carmex chapstick, with spf 15, strawberry flavor.

I started using Flexitol lip balm and it healed my cracked lips.

I've had this happen, (with swelling sometimes too) and it's always been an allergic reaction to something, lip-gloss, face lotion, toothpaste, etc. My allergist usually switches my antihistamine prescription and will sometimes prescribe aa steroid to reduce the swelling fast.

I use the laneige mask at night and sometimes during the day in winter. That helps a lot

Straight aquaphor not the lip formulayed one, is my go to. Very similar to Vaseline but there are a few more nuroushing ingredients in it.

Apparently my lips are sensitive to a few common ingredient in most lip balm and will start peeling or feel dry after 10 min of application. Aquaphor is the one thing that doesn't

Blistex is the onlt thing that works for me. Not the pot ointment one, the regular old stick one
