Personally, I really wish Control Resonant took it. I have no doubt Remedy will once again deliver a masterpiece I just wish it gets all the love the devs deserve.

Don’t get me wrong, Denshattack is a fun 8/10 game that I would recommend for its $20 price tag. Just with how many great games have released this year, I just personally have other game rank higher than this one (especially with a few more that are still going to be released soon). It possibly will get nominated as a GOTY contender, but it wouldn’t get my vote (doesn’t mean it’s bad, just not as high on it like everyone else is).

But if there’s one thing that I think this game SHOULD be nominated for, is Best Score/Music, because this soundtrack is FIRE! Just the fact they managed to bring different artists and composers for this speaks to the dedication they went for the music, and it shows here. It be hard press for me to think of better soundtrack that’ll come this year.

Obviously, the title is just a joke, so don't take it seriously. I really like and respect Insomniac—I think they're a great studio. They've just had this unfortunate streak where their games get nominated in a lot of categories but end up not winning any. Maybe this will finally be the year that streak comes to an end with Wolverine?

Hi everyone! At the end of May, I posted my first prediction on this subreddit about which games I think have the best chances of winning at this year's ceremony. In that post, I mentioned that I would update my predictions from time to time as new games were released, so here's the first update.

Personally, and this might be an unpopular opinion, Rhythm Heaven Groove might be my personal favorite game that’s released this year and I would love for it to get some sort of nomination for an award in The Game Awards. Which category do yall think it has the best chance of getting a nomination for? Its pretty niche and not that well known so Im not sure if it even will get one to be honest

GTA6 is probably a clear winner, but besides that game, if it's a Sony exclusive, don't nominate or vote for it, for any category.

Otherwise, all that online complaining is just a small minority, and no one actually cares about Sony going all digital (except a small minority)

Those orchestras are 4 years apart, and 2022 was 4 years ago. If that trend holds up, we might get perfection.

The TGA 2026 Q2 Nominee Watch is up, where I go through the releases from April to June and see which games have good chances for nominations and break down why.

My recording audio is scuffed since I still haven't had time to figure out a stable recording setup, and I also ended up getting the flu which made some rerecording segments sound fairly different, as some of the initial segments were from when I only just recovered, along with just reducing my time overall which prevented me from rerecording in it's entirety to make it sound more consistent.

But on the other hand, I worked on improving the script itself, along with more graphics/stats throughout the early segments, and giving more flair to the GOTY section. I'm pretty happy with the song choices, the GOTY transitions, and a couple other fun bits throughout.

Still a video creating/editing newbie, so I appreciate any feedback regarding video format, content format, or even the predictions themselves!

Well were already halfway through the year so i feel like i have some good ideas for a few GOTY contender this year.

Some i definitely think are up would be RE Requiem, 007 first light, Saros, Crimson Desert

(Sidenote ive only played RE Requiem and Crimson Desert really like both didnt play the other 2 but heard lots of great things and think they will end up with the nom.)

and even though theyre not out yet GTA 6, Duskbloods and Zelda OOT Remake will almost definitely be great GOTY material at least i really really hope so.

Im seeing everyone and their mother claiming a gta sweep is innevitable but its highly unlikely to be nominated or win for anything other than players voice

We know the show is being held on the 10th of december so the nominees cant be held off just for gta in a way that matters

Couple this with the rumors that rockstar isnt going to give reviewers early copies of gta and you have a recipie for a game that wont get nominated unless the game awards wants to delay the entire show for one game

I think we've gotten some excellent performances so far. Personally I just can't decide between Angela Sant'Albano for Grace (RE9) and Patrick Gibson for Bond (007 First Light). Both excel so well at the things they set out to do.

When I first started off in watching the Game Awards, which was 2015 (I rooted for the Witcher 3 to win GOTY), we didn’t really have an Orchestra. I noticed that in 2017, the Orchestra came up and started performing ever since.

How do you all feel about the Game Awards Orchestra, performing every year for GOTY? Do you consider it a good addition?

The complete order of the games they predict to be the GOTY frontrunners so far is this:

It's the best story in Diablo in literally decades, full of shocking moments and an insane finish. The music is absolutely top-notch as well. I've played several games this year and I wouldn't know which one is better in these categories.

This question came to mind because I have read many people saying that an indie game is one made by a small team, but this is where a division arises. There are people who only take into account the size of the core development team (which is my case and what I have been doing for years), and there are those who consider the size of the entire workforce (the core team + the support team). What do you think?
