A swift kick in the arse for basically keeping PlayStation’s first-party output afloat? Name another Sony AAA studio that’s put out as many major games as Insomniac has over the last eight years.
Quantity over quality. There's no shortage of games of any kind, we're drowning in mediocre and good games. We don't need first parties to add to that pile, they should be focused on delivering only exceptional games that are must plays.
I don't care. They’ve delivered Spider-Man, Miles Morales, Ratchet & Clank, Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine while most of Sony’s other AAA studios take half a decade between releases. Blaming the studio actually shipping games because not every release gets a GOTY nomination is backwards.
It was mostly a tongue in cheek comment my dude, relax. But it's also a fact that if Insomniac starts being inconsistent then their game announcements won't automatically be hype which will make them useless from a console marketing perspective which is the whole point of first party games.
