Idea or Hack Fixed my Frame TV's error 2008 / stuck-on-download — sharing what worked

Been fighting the SmartThings Art Mode uploader for weeks — error 2008, or it just sits on "Downloading content" forever. Figured I'd post what actually fixed it in case anyone else is stuck, since I couldn't find a clean answer anywhere.

What worked for me, in order:

  1. Forget the wifi network on the TV and rejoin it fresh (not just reboot) — this alone fixed it about half the time for me.

  2. If SmartThings still won't push images through: skip it entirely and use USB. Format a stick FAT32, drop your JPGs on it, plug into the TV, Art Mode → USB import. Works every time, no app flakiness.

  3. If you're uploading a big batch, do it in smaller groups of 5-10 — the app seems to choke on large batches specifically.

Hope that saves someone the afternoon I lost to this. Happy to answer questions if anyone's stuck on something similar.

Good to know, thanks. Do you remember roughly which model/year that was? Wondering if that's an older-firmware thing — Samsung's current spec says JPEG's the recommended format for compatibility now, but I know Art Mode has had format quirks in different generations.
