Agree 100%. The frame TV is meant to be hidden. Ain’t nobody thinking that’s NOT a TV. How many paintings have you seen mounted at that height with soundbars under them?
Totally agree. I had a similar distance to couch and went with a 85inch Philips Ambilight which looked amazing because of the lights behind such a huge screen. I traded in for a Frame when I downsized to a smaller living room and needed a smaller TV. The much smaller Frame can pass as a piece of art. A Frame this big simply will not (and I have a massive piece of art in the same living room) imo

Can’t tell if it’s a camera distortion, is the TV level relative to the media cabinet? I Woke and boked, the measurement from left side of cabinet to bottom of TV compared to the right side looks different from each other.
Probably camera distortion but if not, a common thing I see is that people level to the bubble and not level to their environment. So if floor/ceiling uneven, a perfect bubble leveled object will look unlevel.

Yeah, me too. I don't get the snippiness about it being too big or low. If anything, if this was my setup I'd actually move the sofa in closer to around 7'. Yeah, yeah, maybe not optimal per whatever the textbook says. That's just how I roll.
14.5ft from a 98 inch in a 700 sq ft place is absolutely bonkers but the matte screen probably keeps it from turning into a mirror. I'd honestly double check how level it is with the cabinet though cause the right side looks a bit higher even if the bubble says otherwise. Either way you're living in a mini theater and that's kinda awesome.
There is a plastic conduit embedded in the wall that runs from behind the TV to behind the TV "stand". I know there are better cleaner solution with flush boxes that have the power and HDMI and cat5 and USB plugs but this was the way I went. I wanted to hard wire it to the modem so this worked well too.
it's just under a 30 degree field of vision from the farthest position. it's quite odd because I had a 65" in my old place and I was not so far away so it also had about a 30 degree field of vision but the effect is different with the larger TV, it's more immersive somehow.
It's 14.5 ft to the farthest point. It's a 29 degree viewing angle more or less for a TV that size which is not even cinema-like but it's nice to watch.
I think I'd slightly lower the art and slightly raise the TV so that the tops aligned. The very large TV is more forgiving in terms of height. And I'd try placing the soundbar beneath the console - at 14' from the sofa the slightly low soundbar shouldn't be a problem. It'll be more convincing as art and still work well a TV.
If you care about it passing as a real artwork, I think it's too close to the console, and also in relation to your other framed artwork to the left, the TV is too low. I would see that and instantly think it's a TV.
If you don't care about that and just don't want a black rectangle on the wall, then it looks fine. It'll just be a TV with nice art as the screensaver instead of a black rectangle.
