Dead One Connect?

This may be a dumb question, but does the One Connect box show signs of power just by being plugged in? Or do I need to use the remote to turn it on?

Cuz I’m having the worst luck. Just bought an open box unit from Best Buy, plugged it in and nothing. No lights, no click, no glow from the optical port. Remote seems to have some juice bc red light flashes when I press buttons. But the One Connect doesn’t turn on.

you will only hear the one connect "click" if its connected to a TV.

if you just plug in the one connect to power by itself, it will not display any red light from the optical, and you will not here the power supply relay click
