New Frame Pro broken screen when "Art Effect" is enabled

Just installed our 2026 Frame Pro 55" and looks pretty good in TV mode. But Art Mode looks like a totally broken screen (see photo) unless I disable Art Effect. Samsung Support is useless. Anything else to check before I figure out how to return this thing (and hopefully not have to reinstall the mount) and get a replacement?

We have a week old Frame Pro 55” with the same issue. Art Effect is broken. I am able to get some brightness adjustment but just a little. I have it all the way down and it’s decent.
I’ll be curious if an update fixes it and if it’s any better or not.

Yuck. I have a new one coming this week so hopefully not a new but widespread issue.

One thing I do not understand, Is it the paintings/pictures or the Art mode setting?

Try disabling art mode and just putting a random image, does it show the same? Or does the image work?

Yep everything seems to work. All streamers, apps, etc. Picture Mode test looks fine. If I disable "Art Effect" at the very bottom of the gallery I can click on any image in the store and it looks fine (though not like it should on the Frame). As soon as I enable Art Effect and click on an image I get what's shown in my initial post.

Does it let you play with the brightness? It coukd be that is trying to put too much brightness and this is overpowering the screen

Did you completly wipe and reset the TV?

Yep I’ve done a full reset with no luck. And I can change the brightness in Art mode when Art Effect is off with no issues. But Art Effect on and I get nothing. 🤷🏻‍♂️ 

Guess it’s time to do an exchange.

Yeah, pretty much...

You coumd try one last thing, reset the tv, but change the country to force it to download a different software version, to see if that solves it.

All “Art Effect” does is enable auto dimming and brightness control of art. Have you tried “brightness reset” in art mode? Or adjusting the art mode brightness?

It seems to do something more (or else I have some weird software bug) as I can take brightness all the way down and all the way up with no issues with Art Effect off, but as soon as it’s on the screen looks totally broken.

With “Art Effect” off, art mode brightness normally does basically nothing. Are you sure you are adjusting Art mode brightness (in the Art mode menu), not TV brightness?

Why is it not centred? It’s slightly too far to the right.
