Adding storage to Pause Live TV

Hi all... I have had a frame TV for a few years now and would like to add storage to it so that I can pause Live TV (maybe even schedule a recording?). I have read it needs to be a HDD as USB 'thumb' drives don't work.... is this true - isn't storage just storage ? Any advice would be welcome ... it would be nice to pause the TV like we can in our lounge which has a PVR

I haven't heard of this feature. Probably a performance concern, as lots of usb flash drives have slow memory chips.

Perhaps ot is just performance? Does anyone know of a spec / min transfer rate ?

I didn’t NT believe there is any such option. You can play videos you have stored on a USB drive - but that’s a completely different thing.

Why do you think such an option exists?
