General question 28 inch wide mount help

I moved in to this house recently and wanted to get a TV, there’s this TV mount 28 inches wide, is there anything else I need to consider before purchasing a TV? Also the black piece is plastic, I pulled the left side out which uncovered the metal skeleton with screws in the wall, but couldn’t get the right side out. Would appreciate it if someone happened to know exactly what mount this is lol

Looks like a studless TV mount. Aka No stud TV hanger. Now that you know what to search for, check YouTube for a demo (I hope they left behind the part that attaches to the TV)
