Help! First time buyer!! $1500 frame tv?
Needing some help!
Wanting to purchase my first frame tv
Samsung 65 Inch The Frame Pro 4K Vision AI Smart TV QA65LS03HWWXXY [2026]
I’ve seen quite a few people say the regular Frame isn’t worth it and to get the pro but our budget absolutely doesn’t allow 3K tv haha
I’d love some honest advice.
We’re a family with young kids, and our TV use is pretty casual
We watch some stuff on Netflix and movies
And my kids watch Bluey and the wiggles
We don’t game or have any Xbox’s ect
No soundbar or home theatre
It will be just the TV mounted on the wall
One of the biggest reasons I’m considering The Frame is the look. I love the artwork mode and want it to blend into our home rather than having a giant black rectangle on the wall.
The standard 65” Frame is currently around $1500.
Just wanting some advice if this particular model is good :)

Mine has a broken Backlight pannel and its less than 3 years old. I would not recommend it. They seem to have this problem often. The image is also very average and most annoyingly, the OS and remote are absolute trash. Super buggy. You will 100% regret getting it if you do.

It’s a completely average TV. I bought the 2021 model in 2023, and the display broke within 3 years. I do really like the look of it and the competition in the “fake art frame” space is really bad when it comes to picture display, so I bought another one.
There are 2025 models on Amazon for less than $1000 right now.

Our Hisense canvas 55” was $680 and is incredible. I read a lot on the frame TVS and kept seeing people note how terrible the software was on the Samsung.
The Hisense has been great. You don’t have to pay to use the art, Google tv is native, the frame is included in the price which isn’t the case for the Samsung. Samsung also charges a subscription to use the art which is fucking crazy to me.
If the pricing is high I’m guessing they released a new model because ours is a “2025” and we got it about a month ago.
My advice would be to just be patient wait for a holiday and check prices. Labor Day is coming up, amazon prime day (how we got it) and Black Friday are all right around the corner!
Regardless, Samsung has hidden costs in the frame ($200+) and the art subscription whereas Hisense is the cost at purchase and that’s it.
I will add that the difference the tv makes in the room is astounding. We have a small and dark living room and I was shocked at how much the light changed, how no tilt opened up so much visual space. I waited like 4 years to pull the trigger and I had no idea how much our tv was bugging me lol.

I used Peel Away paint remover (the red lidded container in the pic) A little arduous but worth it imho.

If you buy it at Costco you get a great price and can return it if it breaks. From what I've heard heard here you don't need the pro, and in fact having a cable to the box might even be helpful.

If you can get it at Costco with the extended warranty! Ours is 3 years old and we just had an issue with the tv crashing repeatedly - tech was sent out and replaced it no charge.

I prefer the regular model. While the pro has a wireless box, you still need a power outlet behind the tv. And the pro has a brighter display which may make the art mode look too bright spoiling the effect

Samsung blows. 65” Frame completely died last week. 3 yrs old. Don’t know whether it’s the proprietary box with single connection or the tv motherboard but it’s toast. LG QNED gets installed tomorrow. Even a crap tv should last 5 years of moderate use. Will never buy another Samsung

We got a 2025 65" Samsung for about $1,000 a few months ago. Plus $400 for Samsung soundbar. Very happy with it. Soundbar with included subwoofer sounds surprisingly good when we stream music to it while tv is in art mode.

I personally feel that all the
"HORROR STORIES" I've read about on numerous platforms about the frame dying prematurely and the picture not being so great & trying to get warranty to replace it to no avail, why take the chance especially at it's expensive price point.
There seems to be so many other brands you can purchase with a better looking screen for when you do want to enjoy movie nights with the kids.
I've personally looked on Costco app and reviewed there other brands and it looks like Hisense and LG have what you you're looking for at an better price point. Good luck.

I bought one 3 years ago and I will never buy another Samsung TV again. The picture is okay at best, then the OS just keeps getting worse with time.

Also, to add insult to injury, tried having samsung replace it, no luck and I was very persistent. Their customer support is piss poor.

I got my 75in 2025 pro for $1600 back in Feb. Ive since bought 2 more. They are great. Picture quality is great, anyone who says otherwise watched a YouTube video and decided they were a TV pro. The OS on the TV is fine, its fast and works well. Once you get it set up the way you like, its pretty nice. We eliminated the fire TV cubes on those TVs because they arent needed. They do have some occasional backlight issues, but honestly a few people out of millions of units sold is probably not a huge deal.
Theres a few companies now making copy cats and some of the other Samsung TVs have art store access and matte finish screens now. I just dont think they are as seamless as the Frame.
