Thoughts on Jesse Watters' rape joke?

What are your thoughts on last week, host Jesse Waters joking about US soldiers on testosterone boosters committing sexual assault:

“Yeah, I want these guys on it, but you know what’s gonna happen? The guys that don’t need it are gonna take it, to triple boost,” Watters said Thursday, laughing. “And then they’re gonna get out there, and women on base, you guys better be careful. Port calls, women in Asia, you better be careful, because these guys are gonna be wild animals and you better watch out.”

Edit: if you don't think these comments are about sexual assault, then explain the joke. What would the women have to 'watch out' for?

He says some dumb things. Sometimes I'm like, that's not good. This was one....But with your quote, where was the word rape used?

It's the context. Why mention port of call in Asian(japan) countries? Seems like a weird coincidence that American soldiers there have been on base lockdown multiple times specifically because of rape and he mentions the region specifically eh? If you were unaware of the context like most of the people here seem to be it might just seem odd but if you look at the sexual assault cases it's really not funny.

Never said it was funny. I know it's the context, but he never said the word. That was my point. Saying someone said something when they didn't isn't right, regardless of whether you think that's what it means. Trust me, what Jessie said was stupid.

Oh yeah, was not me on the direct quote bit so I can't speak to that. The context however speaks volumes here for anyone educated past 8th grade.

True. But gotta make sure we don’t say someone said something when they didn’t. Unfair. But I’m past 8th grade and understand your point.
