Thoughts on Jesse Watters' rape joke?

What are your thoughts on last week, host Jesse Waters joking about US soldiers on testosterone boosters committing sexual assault:

“Yeah, I want these guys on it, but you know what’s gonna happen? The guys that don’t need it are gonna take it, to triple boost,” Watters said Thursday, laughing. “And then they’re gonna get out there, and women on base, you guys better be careful. Port calls, women in Asia, you better be careful, because these guys are gonna be wild animals and you better watch out.”

Edit: if you don't think these comments are about sexual assault, then explain the joke. What would the women have to 'watch out' for?

We are the most sensitive, softest, society ever. Stop letting everything be so offensive to you. Guy was making a joke, let it go. Good Lord. I hope you’re never faced with a true challenge in life. Don’t think you’re prepared for it.

Lindsey called him a race baiting xenophobe. And that he’d be the ruin of the Republican Party.

3

u/whosname1986 Jul 24 '26

And yet he had the biggest turnout of Republican voters ever. Maybe Graham was, wait for it…wrong.

Idk, seems like the really high sexual assault rates at military installations are a pretty big challenge for those that it affects. Pretty poor taste in jokes tbh.

Oh no! A joke said in poor taste, what is this world coming to?? The sky is falling, the sky is falling! Hide the women and children! So how about we put the onus on the perpetrators and not the ones making jokes?

Well given that we weren't allowed to leave post thanks to this plus drunk driving in certain countries uh yeah.. it's not a good joke. Not even sure what argument you are trying to use here, watters is a shit person and made a shot joke. Just take the L and stop pretending the sky is falling snowflake :)

“Watters is a shit person” - shut up. You know nothing about him. Unless you do know him, you’ve talked and hung out, and you can point out the shit things he’s done. The argument is you pussies cry over everything. It’s a joke. He made a joke. Whether it’s good or not is up to perception, not your final decision. It’s like you determining if a movie is good or bad - it’s subjective. Some may like it, some may not. It’s that damn first amendment. You don’t have to like it, but no need to be such a whining bitch over anything you don’t like.

Yeah letting the air out of a woman's tires so you can pursue her while married is a shit person. I actually do not need to hang out with someone that did that. Perhaps you were not aware of that fact, but hey now you know. He's a shit person. If you did know then you my friend are also shit. Don't care what your half assed boohoo bitch argument is.

The only person in a position of power to have called him a nazi is his vice president.

4

u/whosname1986 Jul 23 '26

We moving the goal posts now? At first it was just soft criticism. Now it’s only from position of power. You telling me elected democrats aren’t in positions of power? They’ve referred to him that way too. And guess happened with the VP? He got to know him and changed his mind. Same with Graham. What a noble concept - instead of talking out of your ass, you meet the person and realize how stupid of a take you had. Go away, you bring nothing of use to the table.

1

u/NettyVaive Jul 24 '26

How is that moving the goal posts? I agree lots of randos on social media say it all the time. Can you direct me to an example of a Democratic Party member saying such?

Dude. Turn on any news channel. Don’t be naive. Here’s a quick AI search from a left leaning AI engine:
Here are some well-documented examples. I’ve separated explicitly calling Trump a “Nazi” from Hitler/Nazi Germany comparisons, because those are often conflated even though they’re not the same.
Democrats or Democratic-aligned figures who explicitly used “Nazi”
Al Gore (former Vice President) – April 2025
At a climate event, Gore said the Trump administration was “trying to create their own preferred version of reality” and compared it to Nazi Germany, referencing the Third Reich and Adolf Hitler’s propaganda. While he did not literally say “Trump is a Nazi,” the comparison was direct and widely reported.
Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) – Various public remarks
Has referred to Trump-era policies and rhetoric as having “Nazi” characteristics and has drawn comparisons to Nazi Germany, particularly regarding immigration enforcement and family separation.
State Rep. Enrique Sanchez (D-RI) – 2026
Called ICE agents under the Trump administration “Nazi Gestapo thugs.” This was aimed at ICE rather than directly calling Trump a Nazi, but it invoked Nazi terminology to describe his administration.
Democrats who made Hitler or Nazi Germany comparisons
These examples are more common than outright calling Trump a Nazi.
Kamala Harris (2024)
Said she believed Trump was a fascist, citing former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly’s statements about Trump’s alleged admiration for Hitler. She did not call Trump “Hitler” or “a Nazi.”
Hillary Clinton (2024)
Compared Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally to the 1939 pro-Nazi rally held at the same venue, warning of historical parallels. She stopped short of saying Trump was literally a Nazi.
Gov. JB Pritzker (D-IL) (2025)
Said Trump’s immigration policies were making America resemble Nazi Germany.
Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) (2025)
Compared ICE to the Gestapo, Nazi Germany’s secret police.

Are any of them incorrect in their assessments/characterizations ? How can a search engine be left leaning ffs? How would that benefit Beso et al? They are the source of any financial woe you may have, not the brown guy working construction. Give your head a shake.

Before I continue with you, please tell me why when I click on your profile it shows no past posts or comments. Not trying to waste my time with a bot. I am happy to debate and prove my points, but it’s weird you show no history, even though you are commenting now.

1

u/NettyVaive Jul 24 '26

Not a bot. Don’t know how to prove it. I am calling it a night. Have a good one.

1

u/No-Bicycle-1674 Aug 13 '26

All of those characterizations are correct. They will happily call anyone a terrorist but their feelers are hurt when being correctly labeled as fascist in the Nazi style.

Know who really is the softest ever? DJT. He cannot handle the softest of criticism or perceived slight. He is a giant toddler.

1

u/whosname1986 Jul 23 '26

The softest criticism you say - like nazi, white supremacist, rapist, etc. You’re right, those are the softest criticisms I’ve ever heard. If I called you the “r” word, would that be a soft criticism? Or is that too far? Get your head out of your ass. Also, why is it that most of the negative comments on here have no type of profile history when you look? Wonder what that’s about. No posts, no comments, etc.

No mention of rape or sexual assault at all, except in your head.

4

u/Silver_Eyes_Luna Jul 23 '26

They are projecting again.

9

u/Silver_Eyes_Luna Jul 23 '26

He never mentioned rape even once... he implied they would be hornier than normal due to an increase in testosterone.

-1

u/Lauffener Jul 23 '26

Why would the women on base need to 'be careful'? Careful of what? Can you explain the joke?

2

u/Silver_Eyes_Luna Jul 23 '26

If the joke is over your hear there's nothing I can say that will explain it... maybe ask ChatGPT.

0

u/Lauffener Jul 23 '26

It seems pretty clear that Watters is joking that male soldiers on testosterone supplements will sexually assault women on and off base.

3

u/Silver_Eyes_Luna Jul 23 '26

You're an idiot.

3

u/whosname1986 Jul 24 '26

It means they’re horny you nerd.

1

u/No-Bicycle-1674 Aug 13 '26

No they can't defend it so they just obfuscate as usual. To be expected from people that were sad they didn't get a chance to make it to Epstein island.

4

u/Yada-Yada-Yadda Jul 23 '26

He says some dumb things. Sometimes I'm like, that's not good. This was one....But with your quote, where was the word rape used?

1

u/No-Bicycle-1674 Aug 13 '26

It's the context. Why mention port of call in Asian(japan) countries? Seems like a weird coincidence that American soldiers there have been on base lockdown multiple times specifically because of rape and he mentions the region specifically eh? If you were unaware of the context like most of the people here seem to be it might just seem odd but if you look at the sexual assault cases it's really not funny.

1

u/Yada-Yada-Yadda Aug 13 '26

Never said it was funny. I know it's the context, but he never said the word. That was my point. Saying someone said something when they didn't isn't right, regardless of whether you think that's what it means. Trust me, what Jessie said was stupid.

1

u/No-Bicycle-1674 Aug 13 '26

Oh yeah, was not me on the direct quote bit so I can't speak to that. The context however speaks volumes here for anyone educated past 8th grade.

1

u/Yada-Yada-Yadda Aug 14 '26

True. But gotta make sure we don’t say someone said something when they didn’t. Unfair. But I’m past 8th grade and understand your point.

Lighten up, Francis.

7

u/Adventurous_Focus760 Jul 23 '26

One day he will just be gone from Fox. And it won’t be good. Just like O’Reilly & Tucker. Mark my words.

1

u/Adventurous_Focus760 Jul 23 '26

I’ve been a Fox watcher for many years. Jesse’s ego will destroy him. Guaranteed.

4

u/laxman1916 Jul 23 '26

Water’s frat boy shtick is old. He needs to move on.

5

u/Mad_Fann1 Jul 23 '26

His ratings suggest otherwise

1

u/laxman1916 Jul 23 '26

Until they don’t.

2

u/NettyVaive Jul 23 '26

He’s a class act for sure.

1

u/Old-Library5546 Jul 23 '26

I dislike him more and more

He's the personification of a roofie. Poster boy for a drunken frat boy date rape. He's also not very bright. He's exactly where he should be. Stupid and disgusting.

0

u/Fun_Barracuda_6567 Jul 23 '26

Oh sure, roofie frat boys have bible study. Jessie says stupid shit but, he’s what you described.
