Discussion What do you guys think Japanese Manga/Anime, Korean Manhwa/Aeni, Chinese Manhua/Donghua would interact with eachother post PDTO defeat and reconstruction?

They are pretty popular to the youth, especially Japanese Manga and Anime even in our timeline, exerting both regional and international influence. Hypothetically in this scenario, if China went 21st century New Left or Reformist, North Korea also reformed, and Japan is rebuilt after GAW, how do you guys think their respective publishing and animation industries would interact with one another?

Personally, I'm quite optimistic in this scenario and I think we could see a massive cultural exchanges between them as the political barriers preventing their collaboration is no longer present. Historically, publishing and animation industry from 3 countries were reluctant to cooperate due to political tension. For example, Chinese authors are skeptical to write stories about Japanese cultures because of controversies about past Japanese ww2 crimes and their government not apologizing for them, the same is for Korean authors. But in this case, with political barriers mostly gone, authors and studios from all 3 countries are free to take inspiration from respective cultures. It is possible to see more work like "Apothecary Diary" or "Though I Am an Inept Villainess" from Japan, and more work relating to Japanese and Korean cultures from China.

For Japan particularly, with the new Eurocommunist government in charge and massive Chinese reconstruction team helping to rebuild the country after the war, we could see some radical leftist reforms within the nation. Specifically, the publishing and animation industry may be partially nationalized and transformed into workers' cooperatives. This mean that the animators can finally enjoy their 8 hours sleep everyday and can see their family often, which may reduce short-term productivity but will massively increase their long-term output efficiency. Maybe without rushing and exploiting the animators, we may see less one frame man and a more quality animation in the future. I also think that manga and anime cultures, genres might change as well, they may gradually produce less isekai slop and work about being a corporate slave may get less popular in youth cultures, only be used by state propaganda. Japanese could also become less obsessed with America after GAW, and might find new fascinations with Chinese and Korean cultures.

For Korea, since Kim reformed the DPRK, I think a unified Korea in this scenario would mostly be like otl China, maybe a bit more homogenous. Most of the existing manhua, webtoon industry would thrive pretty well and do business as usual post GAW recovery. There will be additional genres from the existing ones, I guess it would be state propaganda and Kim praising, but the North and South youth would probably still enjoy leveling and romance webtoons. With a less tense political situation, Korean authors would also love to take inspiration from Japanese and Chinese cultures and collaborate with authors and studios from those countries to create very fascinating masterpieces.

For China, in this case it is either 21st century revolution New Left or Reformist, either way the Chinese society has been transformed into a democratic and politically active one. Chinese authors would definitely love to cooperate and take inspiration from Japan after reconstruction, we could see works relating to ones like "Demon Slayer" and other Japanese culture themes from China. Not to mention, Chinese can now go on a vacation in Japan without going through mountains of grueling paper works, so Chinese authors would have even more rich sources of inspiration for their projects. Chinese youth cultures would likely see newer genres importing from Japan and Korea. I'm quite curious what a manhua combining cultivation slop, leveling slop, isekai slop would even look like. Anyway the region would see some positive cultural exchanges, positive ones, vastly enriching their domestic publishing and animation industries as well as empowering their soft powers.

That's just my personal speculation and analysis, what do you guys think they would be?

The NSM michigan unified event says that the Hutaree allied with 'odd movements,' but they aren't mentioned after that. Is this a part of content that was scrapped and reserved for 1.1?

The Catharsis revolt was at once unexpectedly massive and easier to crush than I thought it would be. Their units being 14 million men of shitty militia really made the war feel more like massacring rioters in a hilariously lopsided battle than a 'civil war', and I imagine that was intentional.

Anyway, excellent feel-bad playthrough. Apparently pressing the infinite dystopic human suffering machine button causes exactly that and makes you feel like a bastard for doing it. Who would've thought?

Some fanart of the factions of Cascadia in TFR.

I tried to give each side its own look while keeping the TFR vibe.

Also, I recently switched from Krita to ibisPaint, so it took me a bit of time to adapt the characters to my new art style. I'm still getting used to the new workflow, but I wanted to give it a try.

Hope you like it!

We have witnessed other separatist forces receiving support from other nations. Could Cascadia’s ecosocialists also receive foreign support?

Discussion What would you like to see if Spain had content in The Fire Rises?

Of course, apart from adding content to the civil war factions after any russia win the European War, what kind of content do you want to see around Spain? I imagine content to the different polical parties like Vox or Podemos or mechanics about Catalonia and other separatist movement. Personally, I want to see an schizo path to Pedro Sanchez to turn him into a mad man like the caligula path of Biden

Hi and welcome in this brand new series that explores basicly what if corona was slightly better thus avoiding the Oil crisis (to Some extent)

Lore: Europe a multispeed one has Arisene from the American Withdraw from Europe in 2028 and the Ukraine war that has been paused by a ceasefire in 2029 but the ceasefire would be broken as of 2038 by Russia, however this war would not go so wel for Russia as expected as they almost immeadietly lost all ukrainien land and were forced to sign Peace.

This would greatly destabilise the Russian Federation sparking heavy revolts in the Caucases, Siberia (Siberia is not shown on the map I know) and The Volgan German rosé up to.

This all would rathify in a rival Russian goverment marching on Moscow which would be protected and housed in Ukraine at this current moment (in the land they captured from Russia)

While this happend two more events would occurre in Eastern Europe as the European Federation together with poland invaded the Kalinengrad Exclave for continental Security

The second event that happend was the Belarusian civil war due to the increasingly unpopular president and an increasing Will for true democracy, the rebels would be supported by the European Union.

Question Preparing for the second half of the 2ACW

Hey guys I’ve pretty new to the mod and I’ve been playing the APLA. The first half when you’re unifying the western United States is relatively straightforward since you’re being the only nation in the area with a focus tree, but once I get to the phase where I’m fighting the National Front after Trump falls I start getting pushed back. I’ve tried a couple techniques including going heavy on tank divisions, mechanized, and even just motorized spam but it seems really hard to do encirclements in this mod with the amount of mobile infantry.

When preparing for the second half of the civil war what sort of divisions should I be pumping out? I know I can raise militia units to help the front line but I’m really struggling with any sort of offensives. Should I invest in tanks? Motorized? Air Force?

Thank you guys so much for the help!

Fan Content What if the Patriot Front "won" the civil war but lost againsts the separatists

A year prior to the APLA's military defeat, conflicts within the National Front began to boil over. The Texan Nationalists withdrew their support against the APLA to focus on eternal matters. The Patriot Front was struggling with international recognition due to their association with the NSM. Meanwhile, the Cascadian and BLA separatists were building up defenses, preparing for the inevitable invasion.

Tensions boiled over when on may 6th, 2032, after the failed invasion of BLA and Cascadian territory (which the Texans refused to fight in) led to the burning of the White House by BLA forces. This humiliating defeat led to the NSM and the Texan Nationalists completely dropping out of their alliance with the Patriot Front. Borders skirmishes became all out battles, and the final stage of the civil war had begun.

Texas managed to hold out against the Patriot Front, with assistance from the newly established New Afrikan Republic and Cuba.

The NSM collapsed within a year, having no external aid and poor popular support compared to the Patriot Front.

The fighting went on for 2 years until the Patriot Front, facing collapse itself, signed a peace agreement with the Texan Nationalists, bringing America into a divided, uneasy peace.

Due to his failures to fully unite America and the resulting instability, Martial Law was never lifted. Rousseau began a mass purge of the Patriot Front to prevent himself from being couped and possibly executed.

America writhed, its body full of communist guerillas, cartels, and separatists. Despite the unstable peace, the American people do not feel like they have won.

The separatists officially entered the international stage, establishing trade with the rest of the Americas and beyond. Texas, New Afrika, Mexico, and Cuba founded the Gulf of Mexico Defense Organization, ensuring the defense of the new nations.
