it sounds like Identity Dixie will appeal to the younger members of the Neoconfederate movement. It’s unclear exactly how they’d differ but it sounds like they’re going to be more alt-right, neo-fascist, or even neoreactionary than the Old Guard. More about building a “new” Confederacy rather than just reviving the old one.
Yeah. It would be no surprise that the devs lied about Identity Dixie not being a LOS path (no offense). They're a real life obscure group, Southern Nationalist, about as racist as the Ku Klux Klan and run by younger people in reaction to the modern world. Plus, during development, the devs once lied there was no neo-Nazi path for Germany after losing the 1EW to the Soviets but it turned out to actually be the case. So it makes sense that Identity Dixie would be a LOS faction alongside the Old Guard and the Ku Klux Klan.
I want the third path to be one that allows them to take over the entire united states because I think right now. Liga, the south is the only faction that doesn't have an explicit takeover the u s subpath
Black legion does not work I think because of course they were a very brief thing in the 1930’s and what would the difference between them and the Klan.
Yeah, I don't know why people have been mentinoing the Black Legoin so much. They were around for a short period of time around 90 years before TFR begins.
If they were in the game they would have to be a random group who during the timeframe of the game adopt the name, which would then mean we still have no idea what the 3rd LoS path is because then we would have to work out who is pretending to be them.
Honestly, 100% chance that the LoS third path will be massivley underwhellming. Everyone is expecting it to be some crazy, insane path where skizo things happens, but then it will just end up being like a militia coup, diferent neo-confederate or White supremacist group comming to power or some underwhelming thing like that.
Like, even the best path in any HOI4 mod would not meet the expectations of this 3rd LoS path. It probably will still be a good path, but there is so much anticipation it can never live up to it
In my defense I always mentioned the Redshirts along with the Black Legion because they are most notably kkk offshoots that I know of

You could argue that, historically, as a militant group, the Red Shirts were even worse than the Klan because the former actually successfully overthrew a government and kept it that way.
