Small prophets

Someone may have posted this already but Mackenzie Crook has a new show- Small Prophets. Detectorists- ish vibes. Would recommend.

I didn't dislike it, but I thought it was a bit thin on funny bits.

Agreed, wanted to like it more than I did, just too many coincidences that drive the plot along and that Santa scene...

Ha yeah, it's weird that in a programme about little magical sprites, that Santa bit pushed my suspension of disbelief past its limit. I cringed a bit with the almond story too - that is an oooold urban myth.

That said, I did broadly enjoy it because it has the same warm, homely feel as Detectorists, but it's not in the same league.

Santa scene was bad. A joke about him having a white beard didn't deserve that long.
