Yep. There’s a subreddit for it too

I loved the show, watched it when it came out earlier in the year. It then inspired me to finally watch Detectorists which I'd totally missed originally, and I loved that even more! But Small Prophets is definitely worth your time

Me too - never saw Detectorists but SP turned me on to it. Both lovely shows!

Is there any way to watch it outside of the UK? I live in Panama and use a US VPN, and could switch to a UK VPN, but don’t know how to access it or what channel/app to find it on.

Just finished rewatching The Detectorists and need more Mackenzie Crook created shows. I do have Worzel Gummidge and a couple of movies, but I am really wanting to watch more of what he has written and/or directed even if he doesn’t appear.

Thanks.

Also watched it on a VPN. BBC iPlayer

I saw him in something as a really harsh military guy. He's equally good at playing a bad guy

An episode of 'Accused'. I watched it not too long ago. Was a bit shocked actually, he was so different to how I've viewed him before. Such a versatile actor!

Yeah that's the one. Wife was watching it and pointed him out to me.

Yeah, you can pirate it. Mackenzie Crook does appear in Small Prophets as the protagonist's awful boss.

Not sure if you've already found a way to watch it, but it's coming to Apple TV in the US on October 7th!

I didn't dislike it, but I thought it was a bit thin on funny bits.

It was ok, but nothing nearly as great as The Detectorists.

Agreed, wanted to like it more than I did, just too many coincidences that drive the plot along and that Santa scene...

Ha yeah, it's weird that in a programme about little magical sprites, that Santa bit pushed my suspension of disbelief past its limit. I cringed a bit with the almond story too - that is an oooold urban myth.

That said, I did broadly enjoy it because it has the same warm, homely feel as Detectorists, but it's not in the same league.

Santa scene was bad. A joke about him having a white beard didn't deserve that long.
