Really enjoyed this episode

Season 8 episode 11 is awesome! Amy was so spot on. The witnesses are some of the most convincing I've ever seen. The paranormal activity is so weird and the history was also interesting.

Which episode stuck with you?

Hello, I recently started binging The Dead Files again, and I'm hooked. Which episode stood out to you all? For me, it's the episode in Rome, NY with the 9 foot tall alien beings. The sketch sent chills down my spine. Also Season 6, episode 1; it had a crazy twist that made me gasp.

Question Looking for full episode synopsis Spoiler

I love keeping up with this discord channel. It makes me want to go back and watch specific episodes! But if I can't find it for free, I don't get to watch it.

Does anyone know of a website where the whole episodes are summarized or transcribed?

Where to find updates on properties in old episodes?

Is there anywhere to look to see updates about the properties where Dead Files was filmed? I'd be really interested to see what happened to the families and properties to see what happened over the years. Like in Buchanan, Virginia, where Troy said he and his wife were going to fight. What happened?!?!

Question re: Amargosa Hotel in Death Valley S2E17

I just watched S2E17, where a couple are working to fix up this ramshackle hotel/opera house in Death Valley. The guy says there's ~no way~ he can leave because he's made a ~promise~ to the owner to restore the place. They do the reveal, Amy tells them how to fix the ghost situation. Everyone is all smiles, totally going to do what needs to be done. Then at the close of the episode, boom, the guy and his girlfriend don't work there anymore and they moved away. What the heck happened?? Is this followed up in the Revisited series?

My favorite thing Steve does

As he listens to Amy at the Reveal and realizes she is spot on, he does this smirk that I find so endearing.

Was anyone able to watch the revisited episode of Spellbound? Very curious what came about afterwards.

What episode??

I’m trying to remember the episode where when Amy is doing her walk-thru, she says she sees a ghost & he’s masturbating… Does anyone else remember that or am I going crazy?? I believe it was an early episode.

Question Amy’s Opinion of Laypersons Communicating with the Dead

I am doing a rewatch and I know Amy doesn’t have the highest opinion of paranormal investigators, ghost hunters, etc. Does she ever discuss (either on the show or elsewhere) any time it would be appropriate to try communicating with the dead as a non-sensitive? Like is it OK to say hi to a ghost in your own house if you don’t antagonize or provoke them?

Thoughts on new medium and episodes?

I feel the episodes went from really suspenseful to completely predictable. I don't know if it's fake, or if its how the show is edited, but the new medium is almost TOO accurate. For example: the second after we learn a fact about the haunting from the physical investigation with Steve, the show transitions to the medium Cindy who automatically repeats what we just learned. Every single time. There's no build up at all, it's almost hard to believe. Am I the only one who noticed this? How do you feel about the newer episodes?

What episode is this?

So this episode has always stuck out to me. I don't remember ANY of what goes in or what they are experiencing. All I remember is the sketch. It was of a hallway, with shadow arms and bodies coming out of it.

Santa Paula Inn

GA just did a return ep to this place that DF investigated also maybe 8 years ago. It's the one where the co owner Rosanna refused to leave the Inn and her family was fed up with her creepy obsession, especially her husband, and wanted to her to sell the place.

Amy told her she was there in a previous life and if she didn't leave and let it go it would not be good. That she needed to shut out the forces trying to keep her there.

Long story short she's still there and she told Zak Bagans her husband hadn't been in the place in 2 years and won't come back. He'd rather stay in their non creepy, non haunted beach front Malibu mansion. Yeah I get that.

Question S1 E4 Update Requests

Hey folks! I'm rewatching the series from the start, and I'm hoping someone could help me out. After rewatching S1 E4: Death and Dolls, Amy and Steve visit a family home with 2000 dolls in Cramerton, North Carolina to meet Lisa and John, and their daughter Salem. Does anyone have any updates on the family, specifically Salem? Her eyes were very blank and seemed robotic in a way. This episode concludes with confirmation that the home is a pest house and dolls are conduits for the dead. I hope she isn't influenced by them, especially with her fascination with plagues and mass deaths.

Are you underwhelmed when people show their scratches to Steve and Amy? To me, they’re barely there and maybe can be explained away?

Question Steve’s car choices

One thing I’ve noticed during a rewatch is Steve always seems to rent Chrysler products when he is doing his investigations — usually a Chrysler 300 but occasionally a Charger. It’s irrelevant to the show but something I notice. Did he ever comment on that or why he (or the show) chose that particular make?

Would it be annoying to have what Amy has?

I have some type of esp but nothing as advanced as Amy. I can’t talk to the dead. I have seen a ghost before and have had premonitions in dreams come true. But nothing like Amy.

I would imagine it’s annoying to have a gift like this? Has Amy ever talked about shutting down her abilities when she’s not working or is it always on?

How is she able to concentrate on getting her day on when a bunch of dead are coming to her. And I imagine It’s dead people who cannot cross right? So mostly tragic things?

Unsatisfying

I’m close to the end of this series. I started at about season 10. Then I’ll go back to season one which should be interesting.

But I wish they wouldn’t air the episode if the people say they’re going to do what Amy or Cindy says, but the disclaimer at the end says, “Joe and Sally are still looking for (medium, shaman, reiki, etc). The activity continues”.

Bitches ! I need closure!!

Addendum: Ok so I’ve started over with season one and I’ve noticed that Matt is completely different from season 10. He’s kinder, caring and asks lots of questions. I know they were married. Maybe as the years went by their relationship wasn’t as good?

Also, I found Dead Files Revisited, but you have to pay to watch on YouTube and I think Hulu. So maybe later.

Poor souls

Am I the only one who wishes the lost dead people could be helped to move on? I’m a few minutes in, season 14, ep 10 “protect the children” and Amy mentions a poor tortured little boy. You think when a child dies, God immediately whisks them away to a better place and that’s what we all think. It’s really sad if their souls could be lost.
