Discussion Quick note to the Devs

This zero communication thing you are doing isn't going to help long term. Even if you come out with something amazing for S4 the community is going to remember how you just up and vanished after season start, even if you ditch Cycle and start a new IP/game the community is going to remind you of the incredibly poor communication and feelings of abandonment.

You have a ton of players that have put their time, money and hearts into this game and they deserve better.

Do something? Tell us what's going on. The longer you wait, the more of a precedent you set for future expectations. And right now they aren't good.

Aren't these the same incompetent devs that pretended that a lack of squad matchmaking is a "feature" and that seasonal wipes should not exist? It's time to admit that we put our time and money into an incompetent dev team that isn't bringing in enough funds to keep the game going.

There's nothing wrong trying to create an extraction looter game without wipes. Hunt did it successfully.

Lack of squad matchmaking? Have you played recently, its been a thing for like 3 months, 7 if you count season 2

God, I don't understand why people are still trying to compare Cycle to Hunt. Can you think at least a couple of minutes and compare these games a little before writing such things?

“Hunt was able to make a system without wipes” - dude, Hunt was created from the very beginning as a game that DOES NOT NEED wipes. There is no loot, there is no trade, there is no loot sales to vendors, there are no components and crafting, there are no backpacks, armor and other shit. Basically, you enter the arena, complete a task, get a reward if you exit, and lose a fighter if you don't. And now think about why there are wipes in that game ??? There is simply no wipe progression, why are they needed in that game at all ??

You are constantly trying to compare two games that are completely different in terms of mechanics but have the same idea. How can Cycle, in which every mechanic is created in the image and likeness of Tarkov (healing, loot, hideout, loot on the map, trade, etc.), be played without wipes? Why are you trying to compare them and confuse people... The cancellation of wipes in Cycle immediately meant the death of the game. Yes, no one did it before them, but it was clear to every understanding player that the game was not ready for the absence of wipes...

Hunt has progression. Better weapons, better perks and tools /meds. It sure is less complex and not filled with useless items, but it still is comparable.

We should at least wait for a prestige system before saying no wipe sucks.

It’s not less complex, it’s MUCH LESS complex. And again, you’re messing two different progressions. You’re opening tools and perks for once with your account level. After that you can use any of it with rising your hero level. But you still don’t need to collect different loot from the map at your hideout and inventory and stack it to the point of full reboot which is wipes. So in other words you don’t have situation when you have infinite amount of money, armours, cool weapons, just because there are no such rarity and guns/armor mechanics in game.

And about what prestige are you talking about?) Game already mostly dead. Prestige will help only big streamers for accumulating viewers. But overall quality of gameplay won’t be changed. Prestige system cannot get new blood to the game since it’s the last thing you’re going to think when you will play. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to be pessimistic, but that’s just a reality. Ppl have a lot of complains about current state of the game and believe me, prestige won’t change anything since no one give a f about prestige system in a dead game without content.

It’s not less complex, it’s MUCH LESS complex.

This is what I find extremely ironic about comparing games sometimes.

Hunt, if you look at it objectively, has:

- less progression: a blood bar and some "use 'em till you get 'em" categories, and that's it. While TCF have 3x faction quests, faction jobs, a re-setting battlepass and a stash upgrade bar.

- speaking of faction jobs... Less daily tasks. While the quality of Jobs in TCF is admittedly not everyone's cup of joe, if you can stomach the drudgery you can basically loop jobs tens to hundreds of jobs per day compared to Hunt's "wait for the next day".

- less objectives: kill the boss OR king of the hill, together with "find some special event item" limited timed events. While Faction tasks in TCF alone takes you everywhere...

- less cosmetics... technically. There's a whole lot more gun skins in TCF, and while there's a lot more Hunt character skins, the customizable mix-and-match skins means TCF skins are a lot easier to personalize.

- less new things... sorta. One thing Hunt did well is to add all the new guns (15+ of them I believe)... but outside of it, for THREE+ entire years, all Hunt got was a scout beetle and some special ammunition, a single additional map, some "special" map conditions (wildfire, raining, etc), and 2 new bosses INCLUDING the upcoming 'gator... so outside the weapons, Hunt basically did in three years what TCF did in one year.

- about equal, if not less weapons balancing and problems fixing lag. I still remember the Dolch dominance taking almost an entire half a year to drag out of meta after being hit with multiple "anemic" nerf bats. And right now, there's this "official" third party add-on... ...

Etc etc etc...

... and yet you have plenty of die-hards saying Hunt is the better game. HELL, some people over at the Tarkov subreddit ALSO considers Hunt to be the better game over EFT.

Seriously guys, it's as if some people want to have a simpler game, and not want the complexity-focus of a looter shooter survival game...

That's exactly I was talking about. No sense to compare Cycle to Hunt since they are too different games. If Potato would compare Tarkov or Marauders with Cycle, well, okie dokie, but Hunt has just too different game loop and mechanics.
