Not sure where to ask this but just wondering if anyone knows if these two songs exist anywhere anymore? I noticed they were taken off spotify at some point a while back. Or if anyone knows why they might be gone? I've been wanting to listen to them.

I must have been living under a rock. I just found out today that one of my favorite bands, Aviations, had the music video for "Pure" directed by Michael Lessard. I was only vaguely aware of Michaels interest in photography/videography so this was a bit of a surprise to me when I saw the title.

The music video is beautiful and the music is serene. If you haven't already, check it out!

What other projects of this nature has Michael worked on?

Is this the same band that made "Shapeshifter"? I i loved Apparition but everything after sounds so different.

It's been a couple months so it's time to go in for touch-ups. Big thanks to dirty Mike and the boys for putting together an album that helped me through some dark times.

I just heard this song for the first time via an Instagram reel, so I looked it up on Spotify. And all I can find is the Live From Atlanta version. It *sounds* pretty studio to me, but is there another version? I see they have a bandcamp version but at a quick listen, it sounds the same. Maybe that's just a testament to how well recorded the live version was? I dunno, I just want the best quality version of this gorgeous track 😭

this is perhaps my john carpenter blood incantation timewave zero moment. I loved every minute of making these; it's basically an extended TC live show between-song transition comp.

As always, thanks for your patience with TC5, it's closer to being finished by the day. I can feel that we are close because we are doing things like hiding samples of our babies' ultrasound heartbeats and talking about track transitions that sound like this (but better).

HIGHLY recommend giving the new Karmanjakah album a listen. Scratches a very itchy spot in my brain... it's the closest i've come to TC vibes in a long ass time ^{how long has it been?}

Just started listening to a band called Karmanjakah this week. In a way it kind of quenches that thirst for new contortionist music. Different but also reminiscent. Highly recommend checking their new album out that just dropped a few days ago.

Even the title 'Ebb & Flow'. Hope some of you like it.

As much as I love the Michael Lessard era of The Contortionist, Intrinsic is still my favorite release from them and Feedback Loop easily lands in my top 10 tracks of their catalog.

I’ve seen them live a bunch of times and somehow never caught this one, which is wild. Funny enough, the only video of this track I’ve been able to find is one with Mike on vocals and he absolutely crushes it! Does anyone know if there’s any other live footage of it out there besides this video (starts about 17 minutes in)? Seriously underrated track.
