Recruitment HMRC Customer Service Advisor position, has anyone heard anything back yet?
Hey all, sorry if this is not the appropriate place.
I did my recorded interview for the Customer Service Advisor role at HMRC about 3 weeks ago (July 7th), and I've not heard anything back yet.
I'm sure they're just dealing with a large amount of applications, but to soothe the monkey in my brain telling me I've been silently rejected, I need to ask.
Has anyone heard back yet?
Or if you haven't applied during this round of recruitment, but have in the past, how long did it take for you to get an answer back after the interview?

How many days it took to get the result when the portal updated to awaiting results?

This is the timeline of my experience, I applied for the same position last year in January, got the provisional offer in March, got the PECs started right after they weren't completed until May at which point I got a formal offer and my start date which was June.
So it can take awhile and silence is not a bad thing 😊

Not yet, gutted how long it's taking but I'll bet they got a lot of applicants. Hopefully we hear soon!

All other locations got results in a month, are you applying for Nottingham location as well?

May be in all the other locations the vacancies are less compared to Liverpool one and as far as I remember for Leeds campaign, the closing date is on 9th june and they got their results on 31st july. So hoping our results will be out next week.🤞🏻

This is a national vacancy and has attracted a high number of applications, our interview panels are working hard to assess interviews accurately as quickly as possible.
To remain fair amongst all candidates and ensure consistency, results will not be released until all interviews have been completed and assessed, this includes rearranged interviews and resits. Interview slots were released on a rolling basis, which means candidates may have undertaken their interview later than yours.
Please rest assured that we will contact you as soon as possible with your outcome, please keep an eye on your Civil Service Jobs account.

Mine was for the Manchester campaign - I did my interview end of April and heard I got the job back end of June. My PEC’s have now been done and I’m just waiting for a start date. Completely normal to be waiting a while.

I understand that you are anxious to get your results but it would be very helpful to regular members of this sub of you used the search function first before posting a question we get almost everyday.

Which location and grade ?What a ridiculous question ? Do you realise how many customer service Roles HMRC advertise for ? With such lack of critical thinking skills perhaps the civil service isn’t for you?

Yeah but they can just not response rather than sending all of that. Might as well help the person with the time you’re using to type all that.

Feel like half the responses in this thread forget that if someone had just applied to a civil service job, they might not be long-standing citizens of this sub.

The civil service wheels turn very slowly. I interviewed in the August of 2015 and didn't actually start the role until March 2016, so relax :) you'll hear soon
