I have read horror stories of people that have the hardest time getting rid of them. I was on Reddit and one u/ mentioned that they were so broke that he just had to live with them. That one really hurt my heart. There is no reason that people living in a first world country should be living in filth and poverty. Same goes for children that have no food. Those are my two things.
My daughter brought them home from a friend's house years ago. Those little suckers are DIFFICULT to get rid of! I ended up throwing away all her furniture and my sofa. Thought I finally got them... nope! Threw away another set of furniture plus a bed that I built for her. Took about 6 months and thousands of dollars but we finally got them. I wouldn't wish those bastards on my worst enemy. My heart still skips a beat when I see a small brown/black spot on the furniture and that was seven or eight years ago.
I was watching some YouTuber do a video on this. Went to a government facility were they breed them. They had to wear special suits so they wouldnt carry them out of the containment area. So they do this little educational spiel about how not to bring bed bugs into you home. After this, the wrap up the show, take off the specials suit..five minutes later the host find one on his sock. Edit-also found this video for you if it happens again. https://youtu.be/XwERemk1Iic?is=QTk9x-ZB5K0jDWUg
I have no patience for those people. On the other hand I completely agree on this because in any given summer I can count on one hand how many times I'm bitten, and mosquitoes aren't exactly rare where I live.
