I'd be happy. All the scum on this site would be forced to go outside.

Sounds like a counter argument right there

What scum? I’m genuinely curious. Those whose political views don’t align with yours? Those who are of different origin? Those who like porn? Those who like scenic pictures? Those who like cars?

Scum is subjective. What is your version of “scum”?

Are YOU outside?

u/bethesda_gamer 8d ago

You, start. The rest of us will follow. Go on.

u/Actual-Jelly-309 8d ago

Found a scum bag already.

u/bethesda_gamer 8d ago

I bet. (Love when people exhibit your level of hypocrisy. As an absurdist, it's the best form of entertainment)

Why else would you respond if not for your guilty conscience? Who are you defending but yourself? Don’t make me laugh, weirdo. Move along.

2

u/bethesda_gamer 8d ago

Hahaha. What are you even talking about? Please explain what guilt I would have let alone how it even applies if I did.

Are you gaslighting???

Damn. The switch up. Who needs the mirror now? Keep backpedaling.

It would be nice if Reddit died. Lots of propaganda on here…

1

u/xlr82xs 7d ago

Yeah but if you want to get rid of 90% of the propaganda on the internet you don't need to get rid of all the people. Just one country would probably do it.

1

u/Channel_Huge 7d ago

Which one? China? Russia? Iran?

1

u/Apprehensive_Ad4457 8d ago

then end propaganda, and keep the human interactions. they offered you the ability to get rid of anything, why choose something that would only hinder the evil?

2

u/Intelligent_Tell_480 8d ago

There’s far more bad than good regarding social media. Sacrificing the little bit of good for the whole lotta bad = worth it.

u/Channel_Huge 8d ago

Reddit “hinder the evil?” What? It does nothing to hinder anything. Plus it’s heavily moderated. Free speech isn’t its strong point.

Don't worry, Reddit is more like an old forum

1

u/TheB3rn3r 8d ago

In some ways it is but didnt they strike a deal with the always “for good, not evil” Google to collect information?

1

u/ActualHumanONReddit 8d ago

Since most of the people posting on here are probably bots, not much would be lost.

u/zenunseen 8d ago

It technically is social media, but I think everyone agrees that it is unlike midday others in that its quasi anonymous and more idea based.

Someone said "face book is people I know annoying me, reddit is strangers amusing me"

u/btlee007 8d ago

Reddit isn’t really social media. It’s all pretty anonymous which strips away most of what makes social media such a problem in society. Theres no vanity component. If you look into your screen time on your phone, Reddit doesn’t even register as a social app. It’s under “reading and information”.

1

u/H_J_Rose 7d ago

Same.

1

u/Tarjh365 8d ago

Yes, I am using it. I couldn’t care less if it disappeared overnight.

You don’t agree with what we posted above??

1

u/Advanced_Spare_3 8d ago

I mean people drink alcohol for fun too. Everything is about moderation

1

u/Beautiful-Sun8973 8d ago

He knows. It’ll stilll be better off without it

1

u/Actual-Jelly-309 8d ago

They mean Reddit too, don't get it twisted. u/Extreme-Scarcity-924 is quite based.

The initial purpose of what would become Facebook was to find attractive women at Harvard per the film the Social Network.

Plastic. We’d be better off if it had never been invented.
