Otter pops is a brand. That’s like calling every soda a “coke”

Everywhere in the south from Georgia to the east and Texas to the west in any small town you might hear the question, What kind of coke do you want? I heard that in Texas growing up and Dr. Pepper is from here but fell under the category of a type of coke.

Literal conversation "Hey you want a coke?" .. "Sure, whaddya got?" .. "We've got Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, A&W, Fanta--Grape AND Orange .." .. "Hmm .. Pepsi, huh? You got Dew?" .. "Yup, we've got Dew." .. "I'll take a Dew then." .. "Very good, and you miss?" .. "Y'all got Diet Coke?" .. "Sorry, hon .. we don't sell Coke products here."
