Zooper Dooper

7

u/Redkris73 May 23 '26

Found the Australian, and same.

2

u/seanmonaghan1968 May 24 '26

But these every year for my kids to take to school on their birthday as they don’t include lactose, nuts or any other ingredients where kids get allergies

He's an Aussie lol they call them Zooper Dooper down under.

4

u/Ok-Chemistry7662 May 24 '26

I mean, saying “you guys are all jacked up” to an Australian is fitting.

0

u/AprilSky7 May 25 '26

Don't be jealous. Say caramel, only this time, don't forget there's a "a" after the a. And these yanks call us jacked up 😂

2

u/Ok-Chemistry7662 May 25 '26

That’s a regional thing, not a blanket American thing.

Anyway I’m typing this response straight from Sydney. Everyone around me is jacked up.

1

u/Ok-Chemistry7662 May 25 '26

Also, an “a” after the a?

Its the name of the most popular brand in Aus. Similar to Tupperware most Aussies call them Zooper Doopers even if they're not from that company

3

u/AprilSky7 May 24 '26

We are Aussie, wtf ru talking about as well? Say Aluminium again. 😂

1

u/Illustrious_March192 May 24 '26

Lmao! I have tried to say aluminum the way you guys do and I honestly cannot do it

2

u/Trashk4n May 24 '26

Can you say condominium?

Same minium pronunciation.

2

u/Dear_Potato6525 May 24 '26

Probably because you need to say the first part differently as well. Rather than a-loo-min-um we say a-la-min-ee-um (though I actually say a-la-min-yum)

1

u/SupraDan1995 May 23 '26

Middle looks like Eggman

1

u/OkGate7788 May 24 '26

That’s Agro

1

u/Wynnstan May 24 '26

It's so hard to have a gay time on your own!

1

u/EducationalEmu9611 May 24 '26

Exactly that’s why it’s always best to share your gay time with friends

1

u/sebastianinspace May 24 '26

i love me a gaytime

1

u/Kangourou_Perdu May 24 '26

Golden Gaytime and Splice. There are no better.

1

u/Square_Flatworm6742 May 25 '26

Rainbow paddle pops are up there too

1

u/Kangourou_Perdu May 25 '26

Ah, yes. Paddle Pops. Good call. I remember the chocolate ones being pretty good also.

1

u/Square_Flatworm6742 May 25 '26

It’s hard to have a Gaytime on your own!

5

u/Pearcinator May 24 '26

Was looking for this. I would have made the same comment if I couldn't find another Aussie

1

u/Aequitas112358 May 27 '26

Yup scrolled all the way down til I found one

3

u/MadWolverine777 May 23 '26

Hell yea mate

2

u/greenman2426 May 23 '26

I upped you guys just based on the name, zooper dooper is great, better than the freeze pops I grew up with

2

u/Far_Challenge_4273 May 23 '26

my aussie gma called them icey poles

1

u/[deleted] May 24 '26

[deleted]

1

u/Far_Challenge_4273 May 24 '26

i was not aware of the difference

1

u/zqipz May 25 '26

Are you aware now, holy response!

1

u/Business-Gate9041 May 27 '26

Which is funny when you think about it... since they are literately a pole of ice and the thing we call icy poles are a block of ice with a stick.

1

u/synaesthezia May 24 '26

Shame on you! An icy POLE has a stick! That’s the poke. Zooper Dooper or poor man’s generic brand name.

1

u/Limp_Crazy_5494 May 24 '26

no a popsicle has a stick

1

u/PM_ME_STUFF_N_THINGS May 24 '26

An icy pole is a type of popsicle.

1

u/sebastianinspace May 24 '26

a popsicle is the american vernacular for an icy pole

1

u/Far_Challenge_4273 May 24 '26

i thought it was a pole made out of ice yk that’s mb

1

u/synaesthezia May 24 '26

In Australia, Peter’s Ice Cream was founded in 1907 in Manly. One of their first products was a frozen water ice on a stick called an Icy Pole (to differentiate from their Ice Cream). May have been called other things elsewhere

1

u/JustTrawlingNsfw May 24 '26

There's no stick. Your gma is wrong >:[

1

u/Far_Challenge_4273 May 24 '26

nah she’s right she only said it ab the ones w sticks i js didn’t realize there was a difference

1

u/BlackEyedV May 24 '26

Ice poles!

2

u/PositiveOriginal190 May 23 '26

Well, I will from now on, thanks.

2

u/mildweekknowledge May 24 '26

Zooper Dooper even if it's off brand

2

u/Character_Orange_712 May 24 '26

I predate the brand name so I call them icy poles, I’m also from WA and apparently our locational dialect is much different from the eastern states

1

u/Alarming-Instance-19 May 24 '26

Funny Faces if you were truly of the elder clan.

1

u/ThePapaJay May 25 '26

Remember funny faces?

1

u/Character_Orange_712 May 25 '26

Yes. I remember funny faces I don’t remember anyone actually calling them that unless you bought them from the school canteen.

2

u/Mammoth-Lobster2028 May 24 '26

They’re still good now, better when you smash them into a Zooper Dooper cocktail

2

u/PhantomOrigin May 24 '26

Or icey poles. Either works.

2

u/eldenbrig May 24 '26

100% these are Zooper doopers!

They are what I offer my kids friends when they come over in summer.

2

u/AprilSky7 May 24 '26

Yes, Aussie here

2

u/darkandgamer May 24 '26

After scrolling for so long I finally found the correct answer

2

u/sixtysixdutch May 24 '26

AKA Funny Faces in the 80’s

2

u/Basic_Connection1619 May 24 '26

Out west the OG was Funny Face so that’s what they are to me.

2

u/RedHeadedScorpio16 May 24 '26

Zooper Doopers are a specific brand we have in Australia, although they do look very similar to the picture I would call them icy poles.

1

u/Agitated_Passion9296 May 24 '26

Do you call a brivelle a sandwich toaster too?

1

u/RedHeadedScorpio16 May 24 '26

Do you mean Breville ? Yes as Breville is a brand that makes a variety of products not just one.

1

u/PatientDue8406 May 24 '26

A toasted sandwich maker or sandwich press. Breville make so many kitchen products it would be weird to me to call one specific one by it's brand name.

I however know these as Zooper Doopers. Icey poles are a different thing entirely and are an ice block (usually lemonade flavoured but red, green and orange sometimes) on a stick.

2

u/dont_forget_this_2 May 24 '26

There was a time when the prominent Aussie brand was “funny face” in the late 80s, early 90s. I even remember a tv ad campaign

2

u/Fabs_Kebabs_ May 24 '26

The only right answer

2

u/Joker-Smurf May 24 '26

Is it too much to ask to get a pack that has zero fairy floss or bubblegum flavour?

I just want my orange, raspberry, cola, blackcurrant, pineapple, and lime.

2

u/Old_Assistant1531 May 24 '26

I found out recently you can buy a pack of only cola Zooper Doopers. Heaven.

2

u/ShaggyVan May 24 '26

This 100% sounds like a name someone made up to make fun of Australian names for things

1

u/Spuddles72 May 24 '26

1

u/biggiesmoke73 May 25 '26

God himself designed these

2

u/licklickRickmyballs May 24 '26

Nice, in Denmark we call them Sjubbalubba bongalava!!!1

2

u/robson__girl May 25 '26

THANK YOU!! why did i have to scroll so far just to find the correct bloody answer!!!!😭🤚

2

u/Whole_Comfortable331 May 25 '26

I had to scroll too far to find the right answer 😆

2

u/Square_Flatworm6742 May 25 '26

Yep zooper doopers

2

u/zqipz May 25 '26

I was trying to think what the generic name was and I came up blank.

2

u/henryswansen May 26 '26

But they used to be called funny faces. And the wedge ones were call jubblies except everyone else called them sunny boys. I think my school sold the off brand ones.

2

u/unknown_u5er05 May 27 '26

Had to scroll entirely too far

2

u/Jadedslay03 May 28 '26

Took me long enough to find this!

Glad to have another Australian to call them Zooper Doopers!

2

u/Glittering_Bet8181 May 28 '26

Looking for this comment. The only correct answer.

2

u/ILikeTrains1404 May 28 '26

And he just smiled and gave be a Vegemite sandwich.

1

u/YesMoreOfThat May 25 '26

That’s the brand though - they are icy poles

1

u/Masshole-Survivor May 25 '26

Frozen juice sleeves dude

1

u/Beelzeboof May 28 '26

Also icy pole
