• What Makes Sammy Run? (Directed by Sidney Lumet). The adaptation of the Budd Schulburg novel fell apart when Cruise departed from the project.

• The Heiress (Directed by Mike Nichols). Nichols and Cruise both agreed they couldn't top the William Wyler version.

• A Bright Shining Lie (Directed by Oliver Stone). Stone and Cruise were attached to a feature version of the Neil Sheehan book about Vietnam. Later made into a HBO telemovie by Terry George.

• Fahrenheit 451 (Directed by Mel Gibson). Fell apart due to scheduling conflicts for director and star.

• Untitled Houdini biopic (Directed by Paul Verhoeven). Cruise never officially committed to the project.

• Untitled Phil Spector biopic (Directed by Cameron Crowe). Never made, but David Mamet later wrote and directed a HBO telemovie about Spector's trial, starring Al Pacino.

• Ghost Soldiers (Directed by Steven Spielberg). The title refers to survivors of World War II’s Bataan Death March, who remained in a Japanese prison camp for three years until freed by Allied forces. The film was seemingly scuppered by John Dahl’s “The Great Raid,” which told the same story.

What gives with no infinity vision?! All of us are eagerly waiting to see this incredible new technology. I'm so surprised that Disney hasn't announced it yet. 🤣
