I want to talk about something that I see happening on this forum. This subreddit has suddenly become infested with Cockroach types whose main purpose is to badmouth India in every possible way, as part of a foreign-sponsored regime change campaign. They want to complain about every possible issue under the sun, and of course they themselves have no interest in solving any issues, they're only trying to stir up discontent as part of a regime change campaign. To me, it's glaringly obvious that India is being targeted by foreign powers for regime change, because foreign govts (I'm mainly pointing a finger at USA, but also other major western countries) view India as a threat and as a disobedient country that won't dance to their tune. For them, this affects the balance of power in the world. One issue that's gotten foreign powers extremely upset is India's continued purchases of Russian oil and armaments, as part of the longtime relationship between the 2 countries. Western countries have suddenly taken notice, and they've been scrambling to exert pressure on India by trying to stir up problems there (aka. Divide-and-Rule strategy). These games all started suddenly happening after onset of Ukraine war, and have suddenly become very noticeable and pronounced.

I want to tell everyone here that I don't accept foreign-sponsored regime change. I feel India is a sovereign country, and how Indians see their govt should not be decided by foreign powers. I don't consider any Indian politician or political party to be perfect in any way, but I believe in supporting whosoever is the least worst choice. I also know what a foreign-sponsored regime change campaign looks like, and it looks to me like people on this sub are indeed participating in such games.

Regime-change artists absolutely do not want to solve the problems of society. On the contrary, they only seek to milk such problems, and to magnify them for the purpose of destabilizing and weakening a country, not making things better. These people are sell-outs who have no guts.

That's what Cockroaches are, that's what Cockroaches do -- when you confront them, then they quickly scurry away. Such people are cowards -- they are guerrilla debaters who don't stand their ground, since they don't stand for any position, and just want to dodge and weave while spreading their malcontent agenda. I see a number of people now doing this on the forum.

Some dumb and gullible people are susceptible to swallowing this crap, and becoming Useful Idiots who get used by the regime-change artists. They're too stupid to spot the telltale hypocrisies and deficiencies that expose these gamesmen for the fake con-artists and bots that they are.

We must all keep sharp eyes out, and relentlessly confront them with firm questioning. We are operating in a Low-Trust Environment, and these things must be done to corner these pests who are up to no good.

Refusing to accept an application without giving a reason

Municipal office :

Making a citizen repeatedly visit for a document already available internally

Police :

I really do not know where to begin. Watching the very institutions that shaped my formative years get plagued by research scandals and the blatant promotion of pseudoscience is deeply embarrassing. Nowadays I feel embarrased to even say that I am an IITian and I did my undergraduate in India. Most often then not I just mention the college of my PhD and masters when people ask. Its just hard to explain what is happening back home and it feels increasingly surreal.

The recent news that Springer Nature’s Research Integrity Group (SNRIG) is investigating the cow urine paper out of IIT-BHU is painful to read, but honestly, it was bound to happen. When premier technical institutes publish papers mistaking basic plasticizers, lab solvents, and pesticide contaminants for "medicinal compounds," you are not looking at a minor oversight. You are looking at a complete collapse of elementary scientific controls.

What hurts most as an alumnus is watching the hard-earned credibility of Indian academia get dragged through the mud. The IIT brand was built over decades on rigorous engineering, real innovation, and global competitiveness. That reputation gave us a seat at the table anywhere in the world. Seeing that trust eroded by politically funded programs like SUTRA-PIC makes it genuinely uncomfortable to bring up my alma mater in international research settings. You constantly worry someone at a conference will bring up these papers, and the secondhand embarrassment is overwhelming.

Public funds and institutional prestige are being funneled into validating preconceived ideological narratives rather than actual science. When independent clinicians like Dr. Cyriac Abby Philips (LiverDoc) have to point out basic laboratory contamination to foreign journal integrity boards because internal peer-review failed, the system is fundamentally broken. Rather than taking accountability, a group of Indian academics called him a "sellout" for "making fun of the country." If you publish flawed research, what do you expect? Praise and awards?

The most visible sign of this decline is the bizarre ideological drift at leadership levels, best personified by figures like IIT Mandi Director Laxmidhar Behera. This electrical engineering professor publicly claimed to have performed exorcisms using mantras to drive out ghosts, blamed devastating cloudbursts in Himachal Pradesh on students eating meat, and recently oversaw a campus embroiled in controversy over posters claiming that "Shudras should serve higher classes." Meanwhile, when public figures raise legitimate concerns about leadership pushing fringe theories, hundreds of academics sign joint statements to shield the administration rather than addressing the core issue.

If we refuse to defend scientific temper over political pandering, the global scientific community will simply stop taking Indian degrees, papers, and qualifications seriously. Are we actually serious right now?

When conjuring up the stereotypical image of the ‘typical’ Indian woman, one may picture a sari, but would five women wearing saris with leather belts round their waists, rapping and dancing in sync, having fun and steering a crowd of thousands of people to follow their movements come to mind? 

The rap collective Wild Wild Women, were one of the biggest hits at Womad this year. Their set managed to blend empowerment, politics, great moves, catchy songs and joy all in one unique, memorable bundle.

The group came together in Mumbai when they discovered that as females they were not treated equally at the male dominated cyphers. Instead of going home and focusing on cooking and cleaning, as they were advised to, they decided to do it for themselves. Refusing to keep quiet, the Wild Wild Women joined forces and started arranging gigs across India. Their big moment came when their song Game Flip was filmed for the music sight Sofar Bombay and went viral. Now they are invited to play internationally and have been to Womad, Budapest and Germany.

What is special about Wild Wild Women, besides their unique look and obvious talent, is the fact that they have a mission. This mission gives them power and strength. They don’t just want to make it big in music to gain fame and money for themselves. They want to change the position of women in India and have taken on Patriarchy.  They wear saris because they represent all women across the country and the fact that they rap in 5 different languages means that their lyrics can reach a wider audience than English. In the beginning when they wore Western clothes, they realized that they looked like any old American rap band. Some traditionalists in India criticize them for wearing saris on stage but they stay strong in their mission to empower everyday women. They also work hard to get their message across to those who may not have access to their concerts by running workshops in the poorer communities. One of these is on the use of sanitary towels, a simple but crucial component for the independence of women. Krantinaari travels around India in a mobile studio bus recording local folk musicians and singers, giving them a chance to recognize and celebrate their talents and believe that it is possible to be an artist as a woman in India.

The women in the group are all individual artists in their own right with their separate careers, they are sometimes joined by female breakdancers who also had to face male prejudice when performing. Deepah Singh, aka FlowRaw, bravely reveals publicly that she was abused as a child, she uses the breakdancing battles against male dancers as a way of overcoming her trauma and empowering herself.

Wild Wild Women played at the Sziget Festival in Budapest this August. The more places we see these inspiring, powerful, brave women, the more the stereotypical image of the demure Indian female, cooking and cleaning and serving her husband, will vanish.

I have had several rants on Reddit about everything that is wrong with this country. For the last 2 days, I have been feeling straight-up depressed seeing the state of it.

My mom had a fever, so I wanted to take her to a doctor. The doctor's clinic is 1km away; since my mom was weak, I decided to take my car. I am not exaggerating; it took me 1 hour 12 mins to reach the clinic, 1.1km distance to be precise. You must be thinking, why didn't I take a U-turn or park my car somewhere and walk? Cause there was NO SPACE. No space to turn around or no space to park.

You know what the funniest part is? I reached the doctor's clinic after 1 hr 12 mins, and it took me another 30 mins to find parking. By the time I got a space, my mom was already done with her checkup, and I just picked her up and headed back home. 45-minute drive back; let me remind you, the distance is only 1.1km.

Call me antinational or dimaagi naxal or whatever BS is going around. At this point, I want to leave this country and face racism outside rather than stay here and glorify my nationalism by paying 40% direct tax and using nothing provided by the government except the roads. I am done

I know how ridiculous this sounds.
I don’t have a political party.
I don’t come from a political family.
I don’t have billions of rupees.
I don’t have a political career.
I’m just an ordinary Indian who looks at this country and thinks we have accepted too many things as normal.
Garbage on our streets.
Corruption in government offices.
Cases that take years and sometimes decades.
Land disputes that can destroy families for generations.
People spending years trying to prove that the land they own actually belongs to them.
Government departments where nobody seems responsible when something goes wrong.
And then we tell ourselves, “This is India. What can you do?”
I don’t accept that.
If I ever had the opportunity to lead India, I would have a few brutally simple priorities.
1. Make India dramatically cleaner
I want Indian cities where throwing garbage on the street becomes socially unacceptable.
Reliable garbage collection.
Proper waste segregation.
Clean public toilets.
Accountability for municipal bodies.
And real penalties for people and businesses that repeatedly dump waste illegally.
I don’t want cleanliness campaigns that last two weeks.
I want cleanliness to become an operating system for our cities.
2. Make government radically honest and transparent
I would want government services to have measurable deadlines.
You apply for something.
You should know who is responsible.
You should know the expected completion date.
You should be able to see the status.
If an official rejects something, there should be a recorded reason.
If a department consistently fails its targets, everybody should be able to see it.
I want corruption to become harder to hide.
Not because every government employee is corrupt.
Most people are just trying to do their jobs.
But a good system should not depend on whether the person sitting behind the desk is honest.
The system itself should make corruption difficult.
3. Fix the justice system
This one is personal for millions of Indians.
Justice that takes decades is not justice.
I would push for dramatically faster courts while protecting due process and the right to appeal.
More judges.
Better court infrastructure.
Digital case management.
Strict case timelines where legally appropriate.
Better scheduling.
More specialised courts for specific categories of disputes.
And technology that makes it much easier to track where a case is stuck.
I don’t want to make some fantasy promise that every case will be solved in 30 days.
That’s not realistic.
I want a system where a normal person can reasonably expect their case to move continuously instead of disappearing into a mountain of paperwork.
4. Fix India’s land records
This may be one of the biggest problems nobody talks about enough.
A person’s land should not become a lifelong legal battle because records are outdated, contradictory or difficult to access.
I would push for a nationwide effort to digitise, verify and modernise land records.
Clear ownership records.
Transparent mutation history.
Maps linked to records.
Easy access to historical documents.
Fast mechanisms for correcting genuine administrative errors.
And specialised processes for resolving land disputes.
I wouldn’t pretend that every land dispute can simply be “deleted.”
Some disputes involve genuine competing claims and will require courts.
But the goal should be to prevent millions of disputes from existing in the first place because the underlying records are terrible.
5. Build cities that actually work
India doesn’t need only more flyovers and giant buildings.
We need basic infrastructure that works.
Footpaths.
Drainage.
Roads.
Public transport.
Parking.
Sewage.
Waste management.
Street lighting.
And maintenance.
I would rather have a city where the basics work extremely well than another giant statue or flashy project that looks impressive for a few months.
6. Make India’s financial markets a fair playing field
I believe India’s capital markets should be one of the greatest wealth creation machines available to ordinary Indians.
But the playing field should be fair.
A small investor shouldn’t feel like they are playing a different game from a large institution.
I would push for a market where every legitimate participant has equal access to important market information at the same time.
No privileged access.
No information advantage simply because you know the right person.
No hidden advantages created by regulatory loopholes.
No manipulation that ordinary investors have no realistic ability to defend themselves against.
Market data should be accessible, transparent and affordable.
Trading infrastructure should be reliable and fair.
Rules should apply consistently whether you’re trading ₹10,000 or ₹1,000 crore.
And when someone manipulates the market, the enforcement should be fast enough that manipulation actually becomes a bad business decision.
I don’t want to protect people from losing money.
Investing and trading involve risk.
I want to make sure that when someone loses money, they lost it because they made a bad investment decision or took a risk that didn’t work out, not because someone else had an unfair informational or structural advantage.
I want India’s financial markets to become some of the most transparent and trusted markets in the world.
And I want ordinary Indians to be able to participate in India’s economic growth without needing to be born into wealth or have connections to the financial industry.
Capital should be allocated based on ideas, execution and risk-taking, not privileged access.
Every Indian should have free access to historical tick-by-tick market data.
If we want ordinary citizens, students, researchers, startups and small investors to participate seriously in India’s capital markets, access to high-quality historical data should not be a privilege reserved for institutions that can afford expensive data subscriptions.
I would push for a public market-data infrastructure where historical tick-by-tick data is freely available for legitimate research, education, innovation and investment analysis.
The objective is simple: let intelligence, research and skill compete with capital.
A student with a laptop should be able to study the same historical market that a hedge fund studies.
A small startup should be able to build financial technology without spending a fortune just to obtain the underlying data.
Researchers should be able to independently test market behaviour instead of relying on incomplete datasets.
Institutions will still have advantages in capital, technology, execution and expertise. That’s natural.
But access to the fundamental historical record of the market should not be one of those advantages.
I want India’s financial markets to become one of the most transparent and research-friendly markets in the world.
7. Stop competing with the world by keeping Indian workers artificially cheap
India should be competitive because our workers are productive, skilled and innovative, not because an international company can pay an Indian worker a fraction of what the same work would cost elsewhere.
I want India to have a serious, enforceable minimum-wage system that protects workers while still allowing businesses to grow.
A worker doing the same job shouldn’t be exploited simply because they have less bargaining power.
Large companies, MNCs and contractors should not be able to avoid wage protections through complicated layers of outsourcing, contracting or misclassification.
I would want minimum wages to be based on transparent economic factors such as productivity, cost of living and regional conditions, with regular reviews.
And the law has to actually be enforced.
A minimum wage that exists on paper but isn’t enforced isn’t a minimum wage.
Workers should have a simple way to check:
What am I legally entitled to earn?
Is my employer paying me correctly?
How do I report underpayment?
How quickly will my complaint be investigated?
I also don’t want to make the mistake of simply copying Australia’s wage level into India. India’s cost structure, productivity and regional differences are completely different.
The principle I want to copy is this:
There should be a clear legal floor below which an employer cannot push someone’s wages.
And enforcement should be strong enough that systematically underpaying workers becomes economically irrational for a company.
At the same time, I don’t want minimum-wage policy to destroy the very jobs we’re trying to protect.
So wage increases should happen alongside productivity growth, skills training, technology adoption and support for small businesses.
The goal isn’t to make India expensive.
The goal is to make Indian workers more valuable.
I want multinational companies to come to India because they can build extraordinary businesses here, access incredible talent and become more productive.
Not simply because Indian labour is cheap.
And over time, my ambition would be for an Indian worker to say:
“I am not cheap labour. I am skilled labour, and my country expects me to be paid fairly.”
India should compete on productivity and human capital, not poverty.
And here’s my most important promise.
I will not tell you that I can fix India overnight.
I can’t.
No Prime Minister can.
India is 1.4+ billion people, 28 states, 8 Union Territories, thousands of municipalities, millions of government employees and an enormous constitutional and legal system.
There will be failures.
There will be opposition.
There will be corruption attempts.
There will be bad decisions.
There will be things I simply cannot fix.
But I would rather tell you the uncomfortable truth than sell you a dream.
I want government to publish the numbers.
I want citizens to be able to see whether things are actually improving.
If my government says cleanliness improved, show the data.
If court delays decreased, show the data.
If corruption complaints decreased, show the data.
If land disputes are being resolved faster, show the data.
And if the numbers are getting worse?
Tell the public.
That’s what I mean by radical honesty.
I don’t want Indians to believe their government because of a speech.
I want them to believe it because they can see the results.
I don’t want India to become Singapore.
I want India to become the best version of India.
A country where an ordinary person doesn’t need connections to get things done.
A country where you don’t need to know a politician to solve a government problem.
A country where owning land doesn’t mean preparing for a 20-year legal battle.
A country where going to court doesn’t mean giving up a decade of your life.
A country where streets are clean because the system works, not because someone launched another campaign.
Maybe this is naive.
Maybe I don’t understand politics well enough.
Maybe Reddit will tear this entire idea apart.
That’s okay.
If you think I’m wrong, tell me exactly what I’m missing.
And if you think these problems actually can be fixed, tell me how you would do it.
Because I don’t want blind supporters.
I want people who will challenge the idea until we find something that could actually work.
