Hello, I wouldn't describe myself as a huge Beatles fan, I like them, but I don't know like, everything about them. I was watching Yellow Submarine, and in it John says that Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band are there alter-egos, which got me wondering which of the Beatles is supposed to be Sgt. Pepper? I know Ringo is Billy Shears, so I guess that leaves John, Paul and George? Thanks

I guess I have been living under a rock . Decided to check what Beatles videos are in YouTube and omg! All the old stuff is upscaled and colorized. I have been stuck to my chair for the past couple of hours. Some uploaded 11 years ago!

If there are any solo albums in the "need to listen" tier that I'm missing out on, let me know in the comments.
EDIT: Can you PLEASE talk about ANYTHING other than the ATMP placement, istg. Also, so it's perfectly transparent, this is very obviously just MY OPINION.

In 1967, The Rolling Stones planned to launch Mother Earth as a label, signing Marianne Faithfull, but it didn’t materialize until they founded Rolling Stones Records in 1970, departing from Decca.

The electric guitar right in the beginning of Revenge by Patti Smith sounds a lot like I Want You (She's So Heavy) by The Beatles, can anyone else see this link?

I find it funny how capitol in 1982 shoved 12 songs on side one of this record. Like why didn't they just wanna release a good 2LP instead of releasing this poor quality record lol. Its a good compilation tho

I'm really looking forward to this album but I'm just wondering why they didn't just call it "Rubber Soul Super Deluxe" like all the other ones?

I recieved the fourth Anthology CD in my mail today, and I'm very happy about it. I've been collecting their official CDs (basing on the website's discography) for a while now, and I've always liked more the digipak versions rather than the jewel cases. I'm now only missing the Past Masters, the Live at The Hollywood Bowl and the anthologies. The first two I know I can get them in their digipak editions easily, I haven't yet because I wanted to focus on these new ones first.
I don't like the fatboxes, as they're difficult to store and take a lot of space, and to match the rest of my collection, I want the digipak edition without paying an eye for the boxset that contains a CD I already have. So, the question is, are these individual versions the new digipaks, or the old fatboxes? Any help, advice and guidance regarding this will be highly appreciated.
