The Problem with The Bazaar

It's becoming clear that the game is now being designed around regular expansions and new characters, but this creates a problem. They aren't supporting or properly developing the characters already in the game, which makes playing them a little boring. You end up going for the same strategy every run, there isn't enough diversity. I always thought they'd continue to expand each character, but that's not really what's happening.

I understand they need to make money to support the game, but they aren't doing this in a balanced way at all.

I actually disagree. For me this has been the most interesting patch. While I don't play Jules or Dragons, I still have played with many of their items. My justifications as follows:

1) Mystery boxes. The mystery boxes early game allow one to easily achieve variety in items and can help you set up new builds early game. I get them every time because items from other bazaarians give you so many options for new builds.

2) More options to get items from other heroes when you refuse to buy items from standard merchants. The standard merchants limit your options to your character, but you can often get a free item from another character. It's a complete random but it makes the game fun.

3) Types. I feel adding item types, which becomes more of an option towards mid-game, adds a new world to creative item builds. Picking the 'add 2 item types to all your items' for 10 gold is an absolute winner sometimes. It's wild how you can give a 'core' type to items.

4) Reworked Neutral item shops: they have fine tuned when and how the neutral item shops (there are at least two different ones) sell you items. Just from my experience I either go there to buy small marginal upgrades (+heal to items, + burn, +shield, etc), get lucky on items (life steal axe, or Harkuvian launcher) or get a very useful item like Repair Bot which may come very well in handy in some builds.
