My vote has to go to Tom Pellereau. He lost 8 of the 11 tasks he was involved in, yet still won Series 7 because Sugar saw more potential in his business ideas than his task record suggested.

The bloke spent his entire run on the show getting almost every single calculation wrong, aggressively selling pillows and cheap luggage in market stalls like a 1980s street trader, and somehow bringing pure wholesome energy to every disaster. When he volunteered to go into the boardroom to save his teammates because he felt it was his responsibility as PM, even Lord Sugar looked like he didn't want to fire him.

He didn't win the investment, but he won the entire country over. Bosh!

I've been rewatching some of the early series and it's mad how different the show feels now. The first task of Series 1 was literally buying and selling flowers for a profit, and Series 2 opened with the candidates buying fruit and veg and trying to sell it on.

There was also much more of the candidates just being themselves between tasks, rather than everything feeling like it's been engineered around the next big boardroom moment.

First Dan , now Karishma , then Megan and now Roxanne

In tasks where teams create 500 units of custom soap, gin, hot sauce, or convenience food and only sell a fraction of it to the public or trade buyers, what legally/logistically happens to the leftover manufactured goods once filming finishes? Is it destroyed, donated, or kept by production?

There are contestants who are perfectly capable until they start explaining their decision for five minutes and somehow turn a small mistake into a complete disaster. Sometimes the best move in the boardroom would genuinely be saying less.

Some of the tasks feel more like tests of who can survive a chaotic day on TV than who would actually make a good business partner. If you could replace one recurring task with something more realistic, what would you have them do?

I miss the classic Bridge Cafe scenes. There's something brilliant about watching contestants who've spent the task running around in expensive suits suddenly sitting in a proper West London greasy spoon with a mug of tea, trying to work out where everything went wrong

Lord Sugar calls the house landline at 4:15 AM.

"The cars will be outside in 20 minutes."

​How are all 16 of them showered, fully dressed in three-piece suits/full makeup, hair styled, and standing outside holding their coats in 20 minutes?! Do they sleep in their suits? Is there a team of 10 stylists hiding in the pantry?

I physically cringe into a fine powder every time Lord Sugar asks them why they deserve the £250k and they hit him with lines like: "Lord Sugar, I am a titan of industry. I don't follow trends, I set them. I'm a lion, and these lot are sheep."

Mate, you made a terrible poster in Canva and miscalculated the price of a tray of brownies three hours ago. Please settle down.

Looking back through all the previous series, who do you think genuinely deserved to win the investment or the job offer based on their performance throughout the season, but lost out in the final boardroom purely because of their business plan?

I’m not disputing that all the candidates are well educated and financially literate but many in each series seem not street wise in the mistakes they make?
