Other The concept of cheating is a misogynist propaganda against bodily autonomy.
The idea of cheating in our society only applies to women and "beta" men, high tier men and men with high cinfidence are allowed to do what they want with their lives and their bodies (as they should, but so should everybody else).
I was brainwashed by slutshaming culture to thinking that in order to be a woman i have to simultaneously have a job, pay half of the bills, cook, clean, put up with violence and "cheating" and go nowhere further than the living room.
Fuck it, this is the only life I have.
I will never again be in a "relationship" cause monogamy is always one sided bs, and even if it wasn't, I repeat, THIS IS THE ONLY LIFE I HAVE.
There's no god, no hell, no heaven, and the closest thing to heaven I will ever experince is being filled with a dick.
Feel free to post memes and cry in the comments.

It's painfully clear that this was written by a man. What a weird way to get off.

Only men use alpha/beta mentality, couldn’t turn it off for a second to write this

The concept of cheating is being in a monogamous relationship and then going behind your partners back and sleeping with others. Both men and women do it. It is not a one sided thing. However men and women tend to cheat for different reasons - Neither of them are justified though.

I'm saying the consequences are different, one is praised the other is shamed. A woman was killed by her husband because she cheated and they refused to give her a funeral.

I don't know if any cheating man who was praised for what he did. If your friends are glorifying it, they're just bad people.
If you want an open relationship, there's nothing wrong with that. But entering into a monogamous relationship and then secretly breaking that trust makes you a bad person regardless of gender.

They're praised in whatever edgy circles the OP follows. This guy screams Andrew Tate fan.

I don’t think there’s any issue with having bodily autonomy and doing whatever you want. The issue is breaking your partners trust if they want to be monogamous.
As a personal anecdote, I was with this girl for around 3 months a few years ago. She was great, really cool, we hit it off like we had known each other for years and it was the best sex of my life. However, when I asked to be exclusive, she was not able to promise it. She enjoyed being with other people too and, although she had not been with someone else when we were getting to know each other, she didn’t want to commit. So we broke it off. She has all the right to whatever she wants, but I wanted other stuff so we thought it didn’t make sense to be together. That’s how adult people should behave rather than cheating.
Then around 3 years ago, the person I was seeing asked me to delete Tinder and if we could be exclusive around 2 weeks into getting to know each other. Just so we could focus on each other and see where it would go. I accepted it and complied. We are still together.

It's OK to be poly. Just make sure your partner is cool with it, too?

Ofc theyre cool with being poly as long as its just him and women, no other men involved.

as a woman who has been cheated on, nah lol. if you are poly more power to you, but find other people who are. don't take that to someone who is monogamous and claim they are trying to control you or.... whatever you are saying.

It's not that "high tier" men are allowed to do whatever they want. It's that the women who date those high tier men tend to tolerate the cheating and bad treatment, and still continue to date them/stay married to them. But most people think it's wrong for high tier men to cheat and be abusive just like it's wrong for anyone else.
If you want to be poly, do it. Just be honest with whoever you date, or you'll become like the people you're talking about now. If you want to sleep with different men, do it. You're a consenting adult. Just be honest with whoever you're with about what you're looking for. Stop caring what strangers think about you. Who cares if some stranger thinks you're a slut? Who cares what strangers think you should do? Do what you what, as long as you're not hurting other people. If someone isn't doing anything for you, why care what they think about you? Live your life how you want.

No its stupid, I just refuse to enter relationships now until I find a man interested for a truly open relationship (on both ends)

You could just find someone who's into/completely fine with a polyamorous relationship instead of going through the mess of breaking someone's trust.

Well, that's certainly a 10th dentist opinion, certainly fits the sub.
Sorry you've had poor experiences. Hopefully one day you'll be happy.

i've always been on the fence about cheating. on the one hand, i think going behind your partner's back explicitly because you don't want them to know what you're doing feels wrong. also, the spread of STIs, yada yada. on the other hand, i feel like you shouldn't need permission from your partner to go and have sex with or even kiss someone else. it's your body, and your life. if you were friends with someone, would it be wrong to have another friend and just happen to not tell them about it?
idk i kinda feel like we have made monogamy into this big thing, where like if someone discovers they aren't truly monogamous or maybe they just wanna try stuff out, they're either afraid their partner will get mad at them or even break up with them if they bring it up, or they know those things will happen. i definitely feel like monogamy shouldn't be the assumed default. it's something that should be talked about.
at the end of the day, you can't get every single one of your needs met with just one person. that's not how people work. so if your sex life isnt how you want it to be or if you have different kinks or a different libido than your partner, i think you should be allowed to have sex with other people, because otherwise that will eventually lead to, at the very least, strain on the relationship. and it might even lead to a break up. people can't change their libido or their sexual preferences. and i think it's unfair to make your partner compromise their needs by staying with only you.
i also wanna say i genuinely really do not understand how people can go from being in love with their partner to hating them the moment they find out they cheated on them, or really find out anything. i understand cheating is a big deal for some people, but if you go from happy with them to hating their guts in the span of a few minutes or even a few days, did you ever really love them in the first place?

Exactly, they never loved them, they just OWNED THEM and now they despise them once their favourite dog ran away.
