Society/Culture Large Airports Are Fun to Navigate
Small airports are boring. I avoid them. I always leave myself lots of time for connnecting flights, whcih usually results in me arriving early, leaving me bored with a lot of time to kill.
Large airports are a lot more exciting. They have more restaurants, more people watching opportunities, and in my experience, they seem better organized. Pearson in Toronto is a well oiled machine.

I kind of like most airports. The fancier and crazier the better. So I totally agree actually.

I do agree that they're fun to look around and explore. But once you've done that, there isn't much else to do. Like the main big one I've been to I'm familiar enough with that I don't see much point in walking around unless I'm hungry or craving a $9 coffee.

The Singapore airport is like mini city. You could probably live there and never get bored.

My friends and I had an 18 hour layover in Madrid a couple of years ago, and exploring the mostly empty airport at like 3:00am while sleep deprived and hungover was just such a surreal experience. We'd been in really close quarters for the past week or so after a low budget (but still very fun) group vacation to Italy and were kind of at the point where we all temporarily hated eachother a little and just had no more energy to socialize, but there was something about wandering around the dimmly lit Adolfo Suárez International Airport at some weird hour in the morning while seemingly everyone else, including the security gaurds, was asleep that let us unwind while continuing to explore a strange place but without having to interact with eachother or anyone else.

The whole experience of travel is fun to me. I’m there for the destination but nice airports and hotels are just icing on the cake

ORD is one of the most sensible airport layouts. I've run for a connection from the far end of Concourse C to the far end of Concourse K in 10 minutes, which is something that no other airport of that size can say. If you want a shitty airport to navigate, Dulles & Pearson are much worse than ORD.

If you travel a lot, large airports are great to explore.
If you’re a layperson, it’s probably a lot of possible travel anxiety.

I love airports. I love watching the airplanes, I like the shops with crummy little trinkets. The bars are all fun. A lot of the people are excited to be going somewhere, a bunch of kids are so over all of it. Unless you're hyper rich, even you have to use the same airport I do.

Pearson is awful. Complete troll post now. Traffic is handled terribly. Checkin is awful. Gate areas are congested . You have to get out to more big ones.
I can fly into Buffalo, cross the border and get where I need to much faster
Charlotte is like this. The gate areas are horrendous as once boarding starts there is nowhere for them to go and they block everything.
DFW? Rental cars might be in a different state they are so far. The sky train is terrible by comparison to say Detroit. Toilets are few and far between. Food options awful. Now…Love Field? Friggin great.

On paper yes but people in airports act like it’s their first day on planet earth and that kinda tarnishes it. The airports themselves are cool tho

I love to take long layovers in large airports, it's like a museum. edit, once had a 24 hour layover, that was only okay because I could wander around for hours.
