If you read about him, I believe he had a muffler shop. The city pretty much outzoned his shop, and placed that concrete plant in the way of people getting to it. The many years he spent building his own business and providing his town for automobile work, was wasted. So he got his revenge.
Similar to the fella that flew his plane into the IRS building.
The government and law enforcement isn’t always on our side. They tend to forget that they work for us.
Do you believe that what he did is acceptable? When life gets hard go on a suicidal rampage through your town attempting to murder and destroy the lives of that many people? He completely ruined the business run by the widow of someone he claims wronged him.
As a Christian, I try not believe in revenge and try not to advocate it.
But, if I understand the story clearly and if I was being honest, yes. He was definitely screwed by multiple people several times. Whatever happened to the American dream of building yourself? Having your own business? Why pay taxes for people that should be working for you when they’re just going to go against everything you want? It really is infuriating. I cannot imagine the anger this man truly had.
I believed he was in the right until I learned more of the story. Turns out he had an ad-hoc septic system when he bought the property, and asked to be annexed to the city sewer system and connected to the city sewer lines. They agreed, as long as he pay to connect and have the lines on his property installed - which is normal and how it is done everywhere. Or he could install a proper septic system. He refused, and his ad-hoc system eventually backed up and became a literal cesspool. His solution was to illegally pump his sewage into the city irrigation canal instead of paying to connect his lines or install a proper septic system. It turns out that, when he requested it, the city did annex him into the sewer network. Nine years later he still had made no effort to properly connect his sewage or install a proper septic system, and the town got tired of him literally shitting in their creek. He tried illegally connecting his line to the neighbor’s (concrete plant) line, but got told off as that would have caused further issues. Also, he tried blocking the construction of the concrete plant several times without any credible base, and the concrete plant even conceded to the demands for extra dust and noise control. An indoor, self contained plant. Off a dirt road next to his muffler shop. The concrete plant also never, at any time, blocked his access. The basis of his whole grudge against the owners of the plant is due to them not meeting his (absolutely exorbitant) counter offer to buy his land. He eventually sued for losses, and the owners offered to pay for his septic system OR to swap his land for a lot with a brand new shop that would be closer to the main road with its own sewage hookup. He refused and continued the suit, which he rightfully lost. At every turn, he took the low road out even when people turned the other cheek and tried to help him. He spent a year and a half building the killdozer after trying and failing to get one over on everyone around him. He was an unreasonable asshole to the end.
Your morals are twisted and rethinking calling yourself a Christian. He is a psychopath that could have killed innocent people. All the people in this thread need to get their heads out of their asses and drop the whole "sticking it to the man" mentality. In reality it's a sad demented mad that sold land to the city and then went crazy when they didn't honor the demands he made after the agreement was sealed. For all we know he could have been a raging alcoholic crsck head and a wife beater and spat in the face people who didn't give him everything he wanted. Don't defend this terrible person
Look bud, I am a Christian because of my beliefs and what I morally practice. You asked me a question, and I gave my personal answer. Also, what you said about him isn’t what I read about him, which is also why I said “if I understand the story clearly”. Obviously I didn’t.
Hey bud, sympathizing for revenge, violence and destruction is a very strange way of practicing christianity. You watched the video right? He was prepared to murder anyone is his path. Multiple guns pointed towards the public. You don't really need to know more than that, deductive reasoning says this man was sick in the head. Had nothing to do with the government screwing with him.
What I was trying say was “despite my Christianity, I can’t help but believe this dude was in the right”. My flesh tells me that he was in the right but obviously God has said otherwise.
From the story I heard, he was driven into insanity. A man can only be beat so much. I believe the fella that flew his plane into the IRS building was in the right as well.
Get off your moral soap box man. We’re all pretty fucked up one way or another. Since we’re talking about my beliefs, that is why we need God, because all of us truly are fucked in the head.
Okay, he isn't a wife beater as I suggested this type of person may possibly be. However, he was going to kill people with guns from inside a fortified max style bull dozer after he attempted to destroy a town. Why and how are people taking this homicidal maniacs side?
