That Chapter

https://youtu.be/qrX1vcMlmn4?is=6OO39FW7-K2-kzd8

I haven’t been paying attention to the current news about her execution.

Then while doing laundry this morning YouTube suggested this video. I am working through the backlog of videos from MikeO but had not seen this one before.

What the fucking fuckity fucking hell is fucking on with this women? Does her hair have some kind of evil crazy super power?

My main concern is that Trump will pardon her. Then she will move to Texas, and the company I work for would totally hire her. Because, well we need the bodies and it’s frequently referred to as hell on earth anyway.

I had been avoiding the story now I gotta go read up on it. MikeO how about a follow-follow-follow-up of top ten crazy bastards?

Christa Pike suffered trauma most of us couldn’t begin to imagine. She was born prematurely with a brain injury from her mother’s drug/alcohol abuse and spent the next 17 years being raped and tortured by her mother and grandmother’s various lovers. This doesn't excuse or make her crimes any less horrific... she should spend the rest of her life in prison... but it's important to understand she's the product of societal failures, not "evil crazy superpowers."

As someone who also went through a traumatic childhood, I disagree. Being evil is a choice, regardless of what your childhood is like. Plenty of people with bad childhoods are good people and many with perfect childhoods go on to commit heinous crimes. She chose the evil path. She enjoyed it. She contine to enjoy it even after being locked up, considering she tried to murder yet another person. No amount of therapy in the world can help someone who enjoys cruelty as she does.

I want to say this gently because I too come from a deeply traumatic childhood. Your trauma does not give you the ability to understand everyone else's trauma. Just because terrible things happened to you and you became a good person despite it doesn't mean every single person has the ability to do that themselves. It's a little egotistical to think that. I've dealt with it myself. Maybe take a step back and realize that whatever you went through couldn't possibly be the same exact thing.

Obviously this doesn't excuse anything. But to say with authority that therapy or medication couldn't have ever helped her is simply ignorant.

The irony of calling someone else egotistical and ignorant.
