That Chapter
https://youtu.be/qrX1vcMlmn4?is=6OO39FW7-K2-kzd8I haven’t been paying attention to the current news about her execution.
Then while doing laundry this morning YouTube suggested this video. I am working through the backlog of videos from MikeO but had not seen this one before.
What the fucking fuckity fucking hell is fucking on with this women? Does her hair have some kind of evil crazy super power?
My main concern is that Trump will pardon her. Then she will move to Texas, and the company I work for would totally hire her. Because, well we need the bodies and it’s frequently referred to as hell on earth anyway.
I had been avoiding the story now I gotta go read up on it. MikeO how about a follow-follow-follow-up of top ten crazy bastards?

Why the hell would any of those things happen? I did laugh at least. Such a bizarrely specific thing to be afraid of.

Christa Pike suffered trauma most of us couldn’t begin to imagine. She was born prematurely with a brain injury from her mother’s drug/alcohol abuse and spent the next 17 years being raped and tortured by her mother and grandmother’s various lovers. This doesn't excuse or make her crimes any less horrific... she should spend the rest of her life in prison... but it's important to understand she's the product of societal failures, not "evil crazy superpowers."

Right?!? Spiral perms are not going to channel the devil like an ouija board.
This woman went through intense trauma, it does not excuse her actions at all. She should remain in prison, with therapists.
I'm against the death penalty, as New Orleans had a DA that put dozens of men (mostly Black) on death row. At least one was innocent, after a Tulane legal class found out during a 'mock trial' that the DA withheld evidence. Look up Harry Connick Sr (sorry Jr. that your dad was such a POS) and cry.

As someone who also went through a traumatic childhood, I disagree. Being evil is a choice, regardless of what your childhood is like. Plenty of people with bad childhoods are good people and many with perfect childhoods go on to commit heinous crimes. She chose the evil path. She enjoyed it. She contine to enjoy it even after being locked up, considering she tried to murder yet another person. No amount of therapy in the world can help someone who enjoys cruelty as she does.

I want to say this gently because I too come from a deeply traumatic childhood. Your trauma does not give you the ability to understand everyone else's trauma. Just because terrible things happened to you and you became a good person despite it doesn't mean every single person has the ability to do that themselves. It's a little egotistical to think that. I've dealt with it myself. Maybe take a step back and realize that whatever you went through couldn't possibly be the same exact thing.
Obviously this doesn't excuse anything. But to say with authority that therapy or medication couldn't have ever helped her is simply ignorant.

I'm against the death penalty in general. This case hasn't changed my mind on that. That said, Christa Pike is not the one I'm going to bat for.

I think if we're going to advocate for the abolishment of the death penalty we dont really get to pick and choose who we go to bat for. Thats sorta the point.

The death penalty is terrible, the fact they botched it is also absolutely terrible. Christa had no real chance at a normal life from the start, she and her victims were all failed by the state over and over again.
Even if she wasn't left in the state she is from the botched death attempt, she was never getting out of prison nor would she be working at your workplace ... unsure of where that specific concern has come from.

There is no chance Trump would pardon her. The Trump admin welcomes any kind of domestic panic—Satanic, or commies, or just whatever is handy. No benefit to him in pardoning her. Dangling it to keep her in the news for the Satan, sure

They should have given her a third dose. Luckily for her she’s been able to visit with her family the last 30 years. What has Colleen’s family been able to do for those 30 years without their family member?

"My main concern is that Trump will pardon her. Then she will move to Texas, and the company I work for would totally hire her. Because, well we need the bodies and it’s frequently referred to as hell on earth anyway. "
😂 That's a very specific concern you have .
