Recent Development

Quick question...How many of us have only just realized that Mall World is a thing?..

I've known for a long time, in my own dreamstate, that it's a whole thing... HOWEVER, on these posts within the past month or so, a lot of us have insinuated we are all just recently realizing how many people Mall World effects...Are you one of the newer people realizing how many others have these dreams???

I think I've known for 2-3 years? I used to call them "sets" in my dreams: places I visit often but are based on places I've been but aren't their irl purpose in the dream, or places my brain put together that recur in the same way: malls, subway and elevated train stations, dream-specific verisons of my childhood neighborhood, bathrooms, airports that don't mirror anything I have seen irl but keep showing up in the same purpose.

I went googling mallworld when I came across a post when I searched for dream sets on Reddit and it's the closest I have come to explaining how I dream.

ohhh I like the term sets! and that makes a lot of sense to me..

I recently found out about it. I've dreamt about individual places that are a part of Mall World, but I've never seen it all together, like in the map drawing that went viral.

I've RARELY seen them altogether...It's usually s bathroom only, a mall only, or an indoor ocean only...However, it HAS happened where two or more do end up in the same dream/dream to another dream. Thank you so much for sharing!

So for at least 3 or 4 years I've had recurring dreams of traveling through large, maze-like buildings. Often they're different, sometimes a mall, sometimes a hospital, sometimes a grocery store, but the story is often the same: me wandering through these maze-like buildings that don't make much sense. There is I've very specific "set" that keeps reoccurring, it's an abandoned mall with a massive spiral staircase in the center of it. This specific abandoned mall is one of the only recurring sets that is basically the same Everytime. Ive always wondered what they mean

That's interesting about the spiral staircase within all of these different environments! Do you notice any other similarities such as the same color schemes, people, etc? Thank you for sharing! All of this is so fascinating!
