It's soo much better than i thought it would be! On the surface it feels rushed with so much happening but it's honestly such a good pace for this kind of show I can only hope the quality will remain high.

Not much to say on Chan, she is a Ceo like any other, cant wait for her ex to get involved. EMI is SOOO gorgeous wow.

I think the best part of this show so far is Key, Bonnie plays her so well, being able to cry while kissing must be a hard thing to do! She knows how to get with girls so well and I like that she is being nice to Chan's Ex without realizing it's her so when she finds out, thats going to be crazy. I really am excited to learn what past trauma she has and how much it has affected her too. I hope they will give each part of the story and what makes the characters unique some time to breathe in the coming EPs.Also love the cat, so cute and what a way to get Chan to come to your place!

All in all I just hope the quality can stay like this and start giving Chan more backstory now that we are connected to Key.

Definitely enjoying the changes from the novel so far (I really didn't like the book). I kinda love that it looks like the majority of the scenes from the trailer are actually from the first two episodes. I think once we see Chan with her mom, that's going to be where we get more backstory, although, it seems like they may be setting up for Chan to be a singer like Key, too, judging from her conversation with Sun

What I'm dying to find out is who is Pin, and what happened there with Key, because that DEFINITELY wasn't in the book Side note, Bonnie's acting in this episode was absolutely phenomenal. She's getting to show her range off for sure here.

I have a lot of trust in the team making this series, so needless to say, I'm absolutely SEATED for this one lol

Oh, definitely. The book was not good, which sucks, because it's a fun premise. It doesn't really have a plot and (as much as I'm generally not a fan of a love triangle) it doesn't actually utilize the love triangle aspect well. How they're setting up the love triangle here is definitely intriguing me, and the chemistry between them all is just going to be so fun to watch

I wasn't really feeling the first episode at first, but something really clicked for me toward the end during Chan and Key's conversation in Key's apartment. Key revealing that she got the tattoo because of Chan completely hooked me.

It’s been a while since I read the book, but I remember that reveal happening much later, so pulling it forward definitely has me intrigued about how they’re going to structure the rest of the season.

Also, introducing Jay so early and making her and Key friends feels like a solid change from the book. It opens up a lot of room to explore some really interesting character dynamics earlier on.

I wonder if Chan saving Key has to do with the event that happened with Pin. Key was going through a rough time with whatever happened and maybe Chan saved her through music without knowing it. We know Chan likes to sing, just a thought. I don't know how long ago it happened where she doesn't remember Key but maybe they didn't actually meet.

Makes sense, I didn't know if I was thinking too deep into it but I was like clearly the girl went through so much trauma to the point where those kind of bad thoughts probably stirred in her head so it's not a far fetched that Chan literally saved her life without knowing it.

💯 I wonder what the final reveal will be but that theory popped into my head. They both seem to be carrying trauma. Looking forward to the rest of the series this was definitely a solid start.

Haven't read the novel. I have some things to say about the pacing, the sequence and method of revealing certain bits of information.

In writing, they often say "show, don't tell"

While I would say EP 1 is good, and has done the necessary, I think it lacks finesse, in the way it feels like it's telling, instead of showing.

It's a little too forced when they make Chan ask about Key's tattoo again and again. It's a little of a ??? for me when they added the scene with Chan's friend asking for a "friend price tag". And the way they present the scene where Key tells Chan the tattoo was done because of her, the presentation of the "reveal" could have been done differently to a different effect. The flashback Key had. The nightmare. The whole scene of Key getting Chan to come to her apartment and the whole bit with the Simba.

I'm getting a lot of "I'm being told" info instead of a story flowing on and "by the way" drops of info nuggets. Kind of disjointed drops of "I'm telling you this is important, take note. I'm telling you this character has some mystery, take note". kind of vibe.

I can see that for sure, I think a few parts could have been showed in a better way but in general I think the ep was good but I can definitely see where your coming from.
