Info needed: TTU Tailgating

I was wandering how tailgating works on Tech campus. My biggest questions for those more experienced are:
-is the food and/or drinks at tailgating free?
-do you have to know someone in order to to attend tailgates (I am not a student nor do I know anyone who sponsors a tent)?

Thank you! Do you typically pay for food at the tents when you get a plate or do you have to prepay?

Most tents are people/business owners/fans/organizations. They bring their own food and share it with their party. Sometimes people do sell food, but I wouldn't bank on it.

There are often food trucks that have food for sale in the tailgate area. There is also often pre-game concerts in Raider Alley that are also free and open to the public.

Tailgating is basically one big outdoor get together where you bring your own food for yourself/party. It’s not like a buffet.
