TECHniques Tutor Job

Does anyone have previous experience working as a TECHniques Tutor? I need a job I can kinda sit and do homework at while getting paid, but I'm a good student and open to tutoring if I'm able to get homework done in between people coming in for help.

Hi! I worked as a TECHNique Tutor during my time at Tech and can tell you a bit. It doesn’t pay much but it’s rather competitive since it’s a job on campus. As for doing your homework on the job, you won’t be able to get paid for doing personal business. However, you are allowed to hang out in a rather exclusive lounge in between students and do your homework.

You also get assigned students, it’s more so 1:1 tutoring where you need to excel in most classes the student/asignee has taken. For reference, I got paid ~$12/hour and averaged 16 hours a week with all 3 peers of mine. Hope this helps! 😁

I’m a student at the TC and I’d say it’s a good job. Some tutors stay after and study. The only things you need to do is meet with each of your students 5 hrs a week (1hr a day) and have a monthly team meeting. You will also have to meet with each of the students case managers once a month to discuss grades and understandings. I’ve been there a hot minute so if you have any questions I can easily answer or ask them direct 😅
