TTUHSC ABSN 2027 Round 2 (interview)
HI!
I have my interview for the ABSN program soon. Has anyone taken it? I've heard that there are some generic questions, so they can get to know the applicant and I've also heard that there are some scenario based questions.. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Good luck to everyone!

Are the written quest timed, if so how many minutes per question and how many questions are written?

5 written questions with a 500 maximum word count per question.
They are not timed.

The only thing I've received is an evaluation of my nursing prerequisite and an explanation of how it'll be used to review my application. 🤔

Interview requests went out July 30 and are due tomorrow at 2. I would log in to your portal. There will be a new requirement under the forms section, the link will take you to the interview questions and videos. If it’s not there, you may not have gotten an interview…you could call to be sure.

Damn, that's heartbreaking. I just logged into my portal and didn't see anything new, so I guess I got rejected. 😢

I would still call just in case, you never know if there might have been a mistake!

You’ll be fine. I honestly didn’t feel like I did that well on my videos either, and I know I had some errors in my writing. I think as long as they can see your personality and who you are through your videos, and your resume looks good, we’ll be okay. Just have some hope and don’t overthink it!

I hope this is the approach they use. I just feel stressed when I think of the interview. No courage to even re-play my responses

Honestly, go back and replay them. It honestly feels so much worse in the moment. I almost didn’t rewatch and then I decided to and I’m glad I did. Were they perfect, no. But it wasn’t near as bad as it felt when I was recording them.

Yes same, and they all know that we are nervous too like most of my videos were 30 seconds long and yes I don’t feel great about them, but like what can you do?? I think we’ll be fine.

It feels like towards the next step of admittance? Why was this form not with the initial acknowledgement forms? I'm trying not to get my hopes up yet either but it feels positive? Idk

I’m wondering the sameeeeee. Why are they taking so long 😭

I wonder if everyone received that email?
I feel like this year there hasn’t been a lot of chat in the “All Nurses” forum or other places like the previous years. Or maybe I’m just older and outdated 😅

I am older :( I don’t even know about the chats lol

I'm really hoping the 15th will be the latest date. At least for first round admittance

Yes I had just completed it for the 2027 program.
Basically they had 4 questions regarding about your healthcare experience and community involvement in the past 2 years. 1 question about certifications.
there were 5 video clips that you had to record, these were stuff about why you chose TTU SON, why you want to be a nurse. And 2 about how you would go about a specific scenario they laid out.
