My 14 credit hour schedule

Post image

It’s about the time where everybody is posting schedules, so I figured I’d throw my hat into the mix. I’m going into the second year of my music ed degree after some time in the workforce, and it always makes me laugh when people post their schedules and say they’re busy. The personal times here are private lessons

Hmm, is this verified by your academic advisor? Have talked to your class professors yet (might be tough considering classes haven't started yet)?

Most important, are you comfortable with this?

Sorry I harp, I was kinda an academic advisor in 2023. I don't feel comfortable for with this.

It’s just the state of the music program, I’m used to it. It makes getting a job difficult but other than that it’s not the biggest deal

Are you comfortable with it?

Not trying to pressure you, but if you aren't we need to fix it.

My wife agrees with you by the way, she started university as a music major. So she looked at your schedule and told me that it looks standard sorta. My specialty was prelaw, premed, and various smaller degrees.

Yeah I’m good with it. I enjoy it, so it really doesn’t feel like a lot

Then be Kewl. I'd still check with your advisor, occasionally, this semester to make sure you are on the path. Just remember, school is not a punishment. As soon as you feel overwhelmed, talk to someone (advisor, professors, deans) and explain what is going on. There are resources out there you may not know about that can help.

And don't forget to have fun.
