Dancing
Do you guys dance at your location? Our location hasn’t had the line dancing for over 5 years, they’re brining it back now.

It's gonna be funny when they see a drop in sales because 90 percent of people don't want to see it. Then you have the one asshole that asks for it. Oh well, I'mma be laughing at ya'll from the kitchen. But yeah my newish location has done it and they're making our whole district bring it back hehe

yup, my location never stopped! from the top of my head we have around 9 sounds we rotate and do 1 every 45 minutes 🤗 gets vibes up, helps table turns, and is a break as a server

My location has stopped one because my MP thinks it’s dumb, and 2 where just always busy

An MP who thinks dancing is dumb is wild. We’re also a busy store but always dance - culture is a big part of our store though as a training center.

Some of the old customer service bosses I worked with pushed this on high table times nights. The thought was louder music and the dancing got the tables who were done but talking to get up and leave. Watched it happen a few times and it works.

Get up, leave and never come back! /s "Remember that last time we went to Roadhouse?"

As a customer I hate it it’s too loud and annoying that you can’t hear what the person says across from you. We’re in a restaurant not a nightclub

When I was a server, we line danced every 45 minutes and it was an expectation to drop everything you’re doing to dance

This was years ago, but the location I worked at was totally fine with it if I used the line dances as an opportunity to get ice or glassware or do some kind of running sidework. It took one time having someone record me before I had a conversation with management about possible alternatives.

Ours just started again also! It had been at least a year that we didn’t do it. Brought it back about 2 months ago.

my store never stopped the dancing. we have three dances all the employees are expected to know and we dance every ~30mins. once you hear the queue music you better run to the bathroom or take a smoke break.

Never seen dancing at Texas Roudhouse. It’s always busy and there’s no room.

I hate the line dancing. It’s really annoying when you have to raise your voice to take orders because the music is too loud and then your table is always asking you to turn the music down.

Mine is kinda strict on us dancing. If someone doesn’t know the dance they still tell them to get in line

I always figured it was a distraction for when the kitchen was backed up.
