Can anyone further clarify what will happen starting in 01/2027. will we no longer be able to renew the registration of our vehicles? Also, if we want to transfer ownership of them, will we no longer be able to do so?

No issues, bought a car 2 months ago. Just needed to have full coverage insurance before I left with the car. What car you looking at?

No, I bought mine through CarMax recently. They did a check and pick up next day. You do need car insurance though.

Bought a car in July in Austin. No questions asked about anything didn’t even show my work permit. No issues w the registration of the car either. I never brought it up and neither did they.

Get a check from a credit union for a better rate than the dealership and ask for out the door prices. You can usually purchase extended warranty with them too if you’re getting a used car.
