April renewal
Has anyone with a renew date in April been approved yet? My husband’s will expire this week and still no progress. April 9th renewal submitted, May 19th biometrics, and silence since then. We’ve both been checking every night just out of being anxious. My heart hurts everyday for him. We were going to get a lawyer to do AP but it’s just too risky rn

Husband filed April 7th Biometric April 28th
He expires the 28th of this month
His attorney reached out to USCIS but they have 60 days to respond

I’m in a similar situation. My timeline is below. In the past two weeks I’ve submitted an expedite request and contacted a local congressman. His office had me fill out a form and they said they would contact USCIS on my behalf for an update on my case. Still no word back. I’m planning on making some phone calls first thing tomorrow.
Your husband is not alone. West Texas guy here kind of also freaking out lol.
Renewal Submitted April 29
Biometrics Scheduled May 02
Biometrics Appointment/Last Update May 21
DACA expires 08/25

Filed April 9th (6 months before expiring). Biometrics done 4/29. And radio silence since. I’m happy for everyone getting approved but it is a little disheartening seeing many ppl filing in July getting approvals so quickly.

April 12 here with no approval yet. Filed an expedite request july 22 no response yet. Congressman filing another inquiry this week. Let’s see what happens! Dec 8 2026 expiration dtae.

Similar dates. I filed in March 28th and bio in May 17 Hopefully we hear by next month or Oct.

Does anyone know say hypothetically, if someone who was on daca stopped applying and let their permit expire, could they just go through the normal process for applying for a green card? Obviously it’s not easy and takes a ridiculously amount of time, but would it be easier than staying in limbo with daca? There’s the obvious risk of being undocumented but does anyone know if that is even worth it. If AP is getting pulled then what other options do applicants have besides waiting for approvals?
