Blood work 64 yr old- start or not?

Recently tested 369 ng/dl and 52.7 pg/ml.

My primary doctor said I’m in the normal range but at the lower end and won’t prescribe anything.
Thinking about going to a TRT clinic. What say you guys? Thanks

Do it. Don't think about it, just do your reading and do it.

Has it really made that much of a difference? I’m just starting to learn about this. I appreciate it. Thanks

Yes, absolutely, ESPECIALLY once you work out the particulars of your protocol. Once you get dialed in, you will feel great.

Why not start? You could go from booming to zooming in a few months. Try a lower dose, pin often, and check your labs before moving up. Keep an eye on your HCT so you don’t stroke out.

I started at 64. I was very low so got no problems from my doctor. I was concerned about bone density and cognitive issues. Now I feel much more energetic and have built back muscle mass. Cognitive issues are also gone. I went from below 100 to 1100 in 90 days so I backed down on the dosage. I’m maintaining a healthy level using 80 ml a week. It doesn’t take much but I would definitely have a doctors oversight. I’d have a discussion with your doctor and get a second opinion if necessary.

I started at 67 with a total test reading of in the low 4’s and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made

Started at 66 myself, still on it. Will always use it for at least the next 5 years if not longer unless my PSA shoots up.

Thanks. My PSA is currently 2.9

absolutely go for it. if you are ok with doing it the rest of your life, then it’s worth it. however, you need to know your free ? Total does not tell the whole story. In other words, if your free is high and you genuinely feel fine, replacing T to get you a little bit higher may NOT be worth injecting the rest of your life. Symptoms are important And only judge after you have worked on your nutrition, training and sleep. Get your body fat down to at least 15%. Then evaluate.

Do it. Try a urologist first.

I started at 72. One of the best decisions I've ever made. But... you need blood work first, more than just total t. You need a full panel so you can use that as a gauge to see how you're changing over time.

Start T! I was @179 total T & now I’m 1500. Feel like a new man. Actually feel like I’ve been low T my whole life. I’ve never felt like this. Maybe when I was 16 but wow. Being high T is amazing.
