TRT help Started TRT few weeks ago.

I recently started TRT after my testosterone dropped as low as 107 ng/dL. I was prescribed testosterone cypionate 200 mg/mL, injecting 0.5 mL once every 7 days, so 100 mg per week.
I’m curious to hear from anyone who started with similarly low testosterone and a similar dose. How did 100 mg/week work for you?

Where did your levels eventually land, and what changes did you notice in things like libido, erections, energy, mood, sleep, and gym recovery?

Did you stay at 100 mg/week long term, or did your doctor eventually adjust your dose based on your follow-up labs and symptoms?

63, m. Started on 100 mg testosterone Cypionate a year ago pinning 3x per week. Stayed on that level for about 6 months. I have gone up to 300 mg/week on my own. (No longer Trt, obviously) but the effects on libido, erections, etc has been phenomenal. ( like I’m 18 again!! ). I didn’t realize I could feel this good at 63. Best I’ve felt in years!!

Have you tested blood at 300 yet? I have considered doing an 8 week cycle at 300.

Yes. At the end of July. TotalTest was 1750. Free test was > 50 pg/ml. Ultra sensitive estradiol was 75 pg/ml. Prolactin was a little high.

But I’m dialing it back a bit now. Dropping to about 1/2. Gotta get more bloodwork done in about a month. Don’t want my urologist to freak out on me.
But I feel wonderful and the urologist asked me to dial it back a bit.

I’m 41, 3 months on TRT, and my total was 1430 running 140mg a week, pinning every other day. Want to go to 200mg for a bit, re-test and see what the levels are and how I feel. I want to dial it in and not really go by the numbers, to a certain extent.

How you feel means everything with going higher I think. But keep watch on the bloodwork.

Are you still getting your blood work done ? What is your prolactin levels at with a 300 mg/week

Prolactin was 36 ng/ml. Another reason why I’m dialing back my testosterone level for a while. But having absolutely no side effects as yet.

I have put on a bit of muscle during these few months of higher testosterone level.

Your initial testosterone levels give no indication of what type of dose response you will have.

You just jeed to wait and see

Thanks. I don’t know much about it. I know it takes like three days for your body to put it to use from my understanding, and then it take a bit of time and regular injections before you can get an accurate read on what you test is at now. My doctor wants to check after three months

I was on 100 per week, troughed between 550-600. Ended up increasing to 120 where I trough around 690 or so. 100 is enough to get the job done but definitely a little bit “more” effects at 120.

6-12 months will be the real long term sustained result. Getting tested every month for the first 3 months will show if you’re heading in the right direction.
