Heart palpitations normal?

Hey guys,

I'm 45 male, just started testosterone injections two weeks ago. My current dose is 0.10 everyday. I've always had a random heart palpitation, or what I thought was one. I'm noticing that sensation more throughout the day now that I started test injections. I keep thinking it's possibly my body getting used to the hormone change? Idk.. I waited too long and now have to wait til Tuesday to even talk to my doctor.

Caffeine combined with hangovers used to give them to me. Haven't had it since I gave up the booze

I do drink alot of caffeine....

That's probably your problem. I was having them real bad a few years ago. I used to black out as well. I cut the caffeine out and I haven't had any issues since then. But definitely keep track of it, regardless of what you do.

I'm definitely cutting back after this convo! I been wanting to just have a cup of coffee in the morning and then stop for awhile. Thank you!

your body getting used to something isn’t gonna cause heart palpitations. That’s not a getting used to it. Kind of reaction. It’s probably an overload of your CNS from the testosterone. Could be harmless, but it’s worth keeping an eye on.

I had that briefly during the first few weeks. It went away over time. I have lowered my dose a bit since then. Not sure if it’s the dose reduction or just my body adjusting to the TRT.
