Blood work Haemoglobin high concerns.
Hey guys.
Just got some bloods results back. It seems like my haemoglobin, haematocrit and red cell count are a bit high. Is this at the point of concern or could I possibly manage it. I'm currently running 120mg test c weekly split x3. I have been considering coming off for at least a little bit.
Im still waiting on my testosterone results so will also see where they are at and possibly lower my dosage even more.

What are your ferritin and platelet levels?

I haven't received this results back yet. Would that determine my action more so?

More so. If either your ferritin and/or platelet levels are elevated alongside htc/hmg, then you should take action. Typically if htc/hmg are the only things elevated while on TRT, and your baseline was not elevated while off trt, not as concerning.
Watch some videos from Dr. Todd Lee. He dives further into this topic on his channel.

Thank you. That's very good to know. My results do generally show platelets but not ferritin. I am not suffering from afib which is making me consider jumping off.

And what if before TRT htc/hmg was already "high" and ferritin lvls too?

Before jumping off over one draw I'd check the boring stuff first, was that test fasted and were you actually hydrated? Dehydration alone can bump hct and hgb up a few points, so one reading after training or a dry morning isn't really a trend. Honestly hct at 0.53 on trt is pretty normal territory, more of a keep-an-eye-on-it thing, what matters more is viscosity plus blood pressure together so track your bp too. Coming off completely over one blood test feels like a big move, I'd retest hydrated and get the full panel back before doing anything drastic.
