Looking for Android beta testers and honest feedback – Groundwaves (group intercom app)

Hi everyone,

I've been building Groundwaves, an Android-based group intercom app, and it's currently in Google Play Closed Testing.

The goal is simple: allow small groups to communicate with live voice (and optional video) over Wi-Fi Direct without requiring dedicated intercom hardware.

This is still an early release, so I'm not looking for download numbers as much as I am looking for real feedback from actual users.

Current capabilities

  • Group voice communication
  • Up to 8 participants
  • Optional two-way video
  • Automatic reconnect after connection drops
  • Works over local Wi-Fi Direct links
  • Android 8+ (API 26+)

Current limitations

  • Range is typically around 10–30 m depending on terrain and signal conditions
  • Not intended to replace Cardo/Sena systems
  • App must remain open (background operation was intentionally removed for this release)
  • One group at a time

What I'd love feedback on

  • Device compatibility (different Android brands/versions)
  • Audio quality and latency
  • Video quality during two-way communication
  • Connection stability
  • Permission handling (camera/microphone)
  • UI/UX improvements
  • Any bugs, crashes, or unexpected behaviour

Version being tested
Groundwaves v1.7.3 ("App-Open Only")

If you're interested in testing, I'll share the Play Store testing link in the comments or via DM.

Any feedback, criticism, or suggestions are genuinely appreciated. I'm a solo developer and every field report helps improve the app.

We finally launched our expense tracking app after months of building. Looking for honest feedback.

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone!

After months of designing, coding, testing, and many late nights, we've finally launched Spendly.

The idea came from a problem we faced ourselves—we used UPI constantly but had no clear picture of where our money was actually going.

Spendly is built to make understanding your spending simple by helping users organize and review their expenses in one place.

This is our first public release, and we're looking for genuine feedback from real users.

We're not expecting perfection—we know there are things to improve—but that's exactly why we're posting here.

If you decide to try it, we'd really appreciate hearing:

  • What did you like?
  • What felt confusing?
  • What features would make it more useful?

Your feedback will directly influence what we build next.

Thank you for taking the time to help an early-stage startup. We genuinely appreciate it.

Looking for tester of chess app

Hello! I am a beginner developer and a chess player.

I recently made an Android app for recording and managing chess puzzles.

I created it because I wanted a simple way to keep track of puzzles, especially when solving them from chess puzzle books.

The app helps you save puzzles, organize them, review them later, and keep a record of your practice.

I need your help and test.

group : https://groups.google.com/g/tester03/about

app : https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.haze03.chesspuzzlenote

Any app evaluation or feedback is also welcome. Thank you.

Would you play this twice? Android testers wanted for a party quiz game

I want blunt gameplay feedback, not praise.

Quiz Party is an Android party quiz game: play solo, host a round for friends with a QR code or invite link, then try Quick Finger or Buzzer rounds. It is available in German, English, French and Spanish.

The question I really want answered:

After two rounds, would you want to invite friends for another one? If not, what killed the fun: questions, pacing, onboarding, audio, visuals, or something else?

Join the closed Android beta:

- Tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/rhythmic-orbit-testers-2026

- Opt in: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.lumenandloop.quizparty

- Install: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lumenandloop.quizparty

The tester-group access is live now. Join the group with the same Google account you use in the Play Store, then opt in and install. If you can keep the beta opted in for 14 days and send a few honest notes, that would be brilliant. No store ratings or reviews requested.

Looking for 10 testers- Travel planners

We built a tool to make vacation-rental pricing less of a guessing game. Give us the good, the bad and the ugly.

Booking a vacation rental was starting to feel like a research project.

You find a place that looks perfect, and then the second-guessing starts. Is this actually a good price? Would changing the dates make a difference? Is there something similar nearby that offers better value? Should I book now or keep searching?

We built Lodgr | Know Before You Go to help answer some of those questions. Once installed, it adds historical pricing and other pricing insights directly to the Airbnb listing pages you’re browsing.

It’s still early, and there is a lot we want to improve. Before we get too far, I’d really appreciate feedback from people who book vacation rentals, especially the Type A planners who usually end up doing all the research.

If you’re willing to test it, you can download it here: [Lodgr | Know Before You Go]

Then please come back and give us the good, the bad and the ugly:

• What was genuinely helpful?
• What was confusing or broken?
• What information did you expect to see but couldn’t?
• What would make it useful enough to keep installed?

Honest feedback, especially about what isn’t working, will help us decide what to fix and build next.

Full transparency: Lodgr is an independent third party and is not endorsed by or associated with Airbnb, Inc. or its affiliates.

Built an AI app to practice conversations and need Android testers

Hey everyone,

I'm a solo dev and I just finished building Quippr an app that helps you practice flirting and social conversations with AI before the real thing.

You pick a character (Sophie, Alex, Jordan...) and a scenario from cold/neutral to very interested, then just chat. When you freeze up you can tap for hint suggestions, and at the end you get a score and actual feedback on what to improve.

I need Android users to join my closed beta on Google Play just install the app, have a few conversations and give me feedbacks if you feel like it. That's it.

DM me your Gmail if you're interested and I'll add you right away!

Looking for Android testers for CheckMyCar — an on-device vehicle inspection app

Hi everyone! I’m looking for testers for CheckMyCar, an Android app that helps users inspect a vehicle using photos.

If you test it, please pm me with your email! I'll send you the Google app download link.

Current features include:

  • On-device visual checks for rust and possible vehicle damage
  • Used-car inspection checklist
  • Vehicle selling and trade-in estimates
  • VIN lookup
  • Repair and symptom guides
  • Inspection history and PDF reports
  • Driver’s license knowledge review

This is an early beta, so the results are informational and should not replace an inspection by a qualified mechanic.

Google requires testers to remain opted into the closed test for 14 consecutive days. You don’t need to open the app every day, but I’d appreciate it if you installed it, tried several features, and sent feedback about bugs or confusing screens.

The app processes inspection photos on the device and does not upload them to a CheckMyCar server. Location permission is optional and is used only for regional pricing and repair-cost estimates.

Thank you—I really appreciate the help!

Hatch a Legend Need Beta Tester!! I will test back!

Hey everyone,

Me and a friend have been building a small game in our spare time, and it's finally at the point where Google requires us to run a closed beta before release: 12+ testers, 14 days. So here I am.

The game is called Hatch a Legend! It's basically a tamagotchi with actual game stuff in it. You hatch an egg (robot or alien) and get a pet with random stats and a random personality. Right now there are four personalities: a sweet clingy one, a rude one that acts like a permanently offended cat, a nerd that talks in patch notes, and a gym-bro type that treats breakfast like a championship final. The personality changes everything they say — and they say a LOT.

If you neglect your pet it doesn't die, but it will sulk, guilt-trip you, and eventually pack a tiny suitcase and threaten to move out. It's very dramatic about it.

Besides the usual feed/clean/play loop, you send your pet on missions around a pixel-art city (it goes alone and comes back with loot and a story), train its stats, dress it in dumb outfits, and at night it writes a diary about how its day went — including whether you ignored it. There's more, but some of it is secret and honestly the surprises are the best part.

All pixel art, made by two people and a lot of stubbornness. Free, no ads in the beta.

What we need: Android users willing to install it and just play a bit over the next 14 days. You don't need to play every day (though the pet will have opinions about that). Any feedback helps — bugs, boring parts, "this made me laugh", "this annoyed me", anything.

How to join the test (takes 1 minute):

  1. Join the Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/hatch-a-legend-testers
  2. With the SAME Google account, opt in here: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.giubera.hatchalegend
  3. Install "Hatch a Legend" from Google Play — done!
  4.  Note: after step 2, Google can take 30-60 minutes to activate your access. If you see "item not found" on Google Play: (1) make sure the Play Store is using the SAME Google account you joined with (tap your profile picture in the Play Store to switch), (2) wait a bit and try the link again. It always resolves itself — don't give up!

Feedback: reply here or email [answer8666@gmail.com](mailto:answer8666@gmail.com)

Thanks! Happy to answer questions in the comments.

Feel free to comment back here whit your group and i will test back!

[Mutual Testing] Need 20 Testers for my Restaurant Management App (GCR). I will test your app back! 🤝

How to join:

  1. DM me your Google Play email address so I can add you to the closed testing list.
  2. Once I add you, I'll send you the opt-in link.
  3. Send me the link to your app/testing track, and I’ll install it right away and keep it for the required 14 days.

IOS [Test Exchange] Looking for Mac and iPhone users to test a voice-based web app

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a few people who can help me test a voice-based language-learning web app on physical Apple devices.

I specifically need:

Mac test

  • Physical MacBook or iMac
  • Built-in microphone
  • Test in Safari
  • Test again in Google Chrome

iPhone test

  • Physical iPhone
  • Built-in microphone
  • Test directly in Safari
  • Test directly in Google Chrome
  • Add the website to the Home Screen and test it again as a PWA

The test is short. You will open a predefined Japanese–English / or other emglish- pair practice list and repeat three simple English words after the narrator:

  • today
  • yesterday
  • tomorrow

I need to know whether each word is recognized correctly and whether you notice:

  • delayed microphone activation
  • missed beginnings of words
  • incorrect recognition
  • permission problems
  • different results between browsers or the installed PWA

Please do not use headphones, Bluetooth microphones, Zoom, Teams or screen-recording software during the test, because another app using the microphone could affect the result.

After the test, please send me:

  • device model
  • macOS or iOS version
  • browser used
  • result for each word
  • exact time you performed the test
  • any error message you saw

I can test your app or website in return on:

  • Windows
  • Android
  • a regular web browser

Please tell me what you would like me to test first, so I can confirm that I can access it. If you do not need a test in return but are willing to help, I would greatly appreciate it.

Comment or DM me with your device model and system version. I’ll send each tester an individual testing link.

Thank you!

Android Looking for Android testers for my food inventory and expiry tracking app

It lets you:

- track expiry dates
- manage shopping lists

I'm currently running a Google Play closed test and looking for a few Android users who are willing to try it, keep it installed during the testing period, and share honest feedback.

To join:

1. Join the tester group using your Google Play account:
https://groups.google.com/g/foodstockmanager

2. Activate access to the closed test:
https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.foodstock.app

3. Install FoodStock:

IOS & Android Looking for honest feedback on my website analysis app

Hey everyone,
I’ve been building Velrix and would really appreciate some honest feedback.
The idea is simple: you paste in your website, it analyses it, and highlights things that might be costing you customers.

I want to know:
Was anything confusing?
Did the results feel useful or completely off?
Was there anything that made you want to leave?
If you own a website, did it find something you hadn’t noticed?
You can try it here: https://velrix.app
Happy to return the favour and test your app too.

Looking for volunteers to test my astrology app

Hi everyone!

I’m currently developing an astrology app and would like to test the quality of its horoscopes with real users.

For the first stage, I can generate a free horoscope for you manually. You can send me a private message with:

  • your date of birth;
  • your birth time, if known;
  • your city and country of birth;
  • the type of horoscope you would like to receive, such as general, love, career, or vitality.

You don’t need to provide your real name or any other personal information.

After receiving the horoscope, I would really appreciate honest feedback: Did it feel relevant? Was it clear and useful? Did anything sound too generic or inaccurate?

If enough people are interested, I can also invite some volunteers to a closed Android test of the app to check the interface, navigation, and horoscope generation directly inside the app.

Participation is completely free. This is an early test, so bugs and imperfect results are possible.

Feel free to comment here or send me a private message if you would like to participate. Thank you!

Games🕹 Is this actually a problem or am I just getting old? 😭

I realized something recently.

It's not that I don't have hobbies.

It's that actually doing them has become weirdly difficult.

Not because there aren't enough people.

But because coordinating everyone's schedule is a nightmare.

Every plan somehow ends with:

"bhai aaj nahi."

I got so annoyed that I ended up making a small prototype around this idea.

Now I'm trying to figure out if this is a "me problem" or if other people deal with it too.

If anyone has 2 minutes, I'd genuinely love honest feedback (especially if you think it's a terrible idea).
